Good has walked with us through this storm, and He will continue to see us through it. The damage to the east side of the building has now been repaired with temporary walls and tarps. Three engi- neers and two architects have inspected the building and have deemed the education building and the family life center (everything east of the sanctuary) as structurally sound and ready for us to occupy. Depending on the weather, we are hoping to have the engineers also look at the sanctuary. In order to see the rafters, the engineers must remove the chandelier and also pull off portions of the roof. As soon as possible, we will get the sanctuary inspected and let the church know their findings. In the mean time, we will move forward having services in the gym and adjusting our schedule as needed. Please keep watch on our website, Facebook, and through email for all updates. There are many others across our state that are being affected by the strong storms and flooding. Please keep them in your prayers too. This week’s Schedule: Wednesday: Wednesday Worship with the Cherub & Children's Choirs singing at 6:00pm; Youth - 6:30-8:00pm. Sunday: Sunday School at 9:15am and Graduation Recognition Service at 10:30am with combined worship; Graduate luncheon at 12:30pm. Serving Him Together, Pastor Nathan

J.O.Y. The sound of children at recess, of numerous birds, a dog barking and a hammer pounding slowly stir in

my brain and the scent of a fresh spring day waft into my consciousness. Now I'm aware of mom moving around downstairs. I am transported to my youth and rest in the familiar. I am content, at home in Appleton. A blast of music brings me fully awake. The couple who bought the house next door are young. He's building something in the garage and has turned on the truck radio for music to work by! I'm going to guess mom's not appreciating the tunes. I go down to check on her. We talk over coffee (these are my favorite times when I'm home). While she doesn't appreciate the the tunes, she is very understanding of the younger generation and the connection each generation has with "their" music and defends their right to play it, at a reasonable volume, of course. Because of this, she will be able to connect with them and begin a relationship with them which will, no doubt, include her sharing her faith. This is a good example of Proverbs 14:29: Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. Thank you for your prayers. Mary and I had a great trip to Wisconsin enjoying God's handiwork along the way. We stopped to play in Little Rock and St Louis making it here late last night. See you next week. Spanem Bohem, Ann

Sunday to sign up.

It was so good to worship together on Sunday with our FBC family. Our church building may have been damaged by last weeks' tornado, but as Nathan said, it is, actually, strengthening us. I know I can't adequately thank everyone that helped this week to get our family life center ready for worship, or name everyone by name. But, I do want to thank our A/V team, and all those that volunteered to set up the platform and the sound & A/V for today's worship service. And thanks to our greeters, hospitality folks, ushers, our choir and musicians for your part in leading us in worship. And, even when water began to leak into the room during the service, so many pitched in to help and set up a tarp to cover the sound board. Your willingness to give and serve selflessly is a blessing to my heart.

"Christ alone - the cornerstone, the weak made strong - in the Savior's love, through the storm - He is Lord - Lord of all."

This Sunday you’ll have another opportunity to sign up to help in SMAK (Summer Music Activities for Kids). Please prayerfully consider your part in this ministry. We still need people to serve in all areas. SMAK will be held June 22 – 26, with the musical performance being held on Friday, June 26th. We will be learning a patriotic musical entitled “AmeriKids”. Thanks to our Cherub Choir and our BLAST Kids Choirs workers who served this past year: Cherub Choir: Kim Alexander, Kyndall Bell, Lauren Mitchell, Patti Newsom, & Marlena Smith. BLAST Kids Choir: Ashley Barham, Karen Blissitte, Jennifer Gwathmey, Deloris McPherson, & Jennifer Seaton, Stefany Johnston, Lindsay Wells, Rylan Marshall, Cody Houston & George McPherson. Blessings, Mel
