Saturday, July 16Young Eagles Day sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association, 8 a.m.-noon, Teton Aviation. Signup begins at 8 a.m. with flights beginning at 9 a.m. Signups run until noon this year so that people can enjoy both Tin Cup and Young Eagles Day. Flights are available for kids 8-17. Tuesday, July 19Hike into the HobackFree guided field trip into the Upper Hoback. The public hike explores the Noble Basin/ Upper Hoback proposed drilling area. Meet at the Daniel Store on Highway 189 at 9 a.m.

July 18-22Art camp for children ages 5-15

at Dreamchasers in Driggs. Cost is $90 per week or $22 per day and includes materials. Classes run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. daily. The projects, in order, are: Tin tiles, tie-dye, rock art, nature journaling and duct tape purse or wallet. Call (208) 787-2207 to register.

Wednesday, July 20Local author Laurel Wicks will give a presentation at Dark Horse Books in Driggs starting at 7 p.m. Wicks is the former owner of the Bunnery in Jackson. She has written a cookbook, “Get Your Buns in Here” and a guide to elder care titled “Lessons from a Caregiver.”

Join Yostmark Mountain Equipment for a book signing and clinic by longtime Valley resident, tele skier, mountaineer and ultralight backpacker Mike Clelland. Clelland is also the author of “Ultralight Backpackin’ Tips.” Learn how to back extremely light and fast for the backcountry. The event begins at 5 p.m. at Yostmark in Driggs.
