Uponamotionmadeandseconded, minutesoftheSeptember7, 2016meetingwereapprovedunanimously onvoicevote. 4. ReportfromArchitect ~ BLCompany RayBradwell, SeniorProjectManager atBLpresentedthesiteplanindetailtothecommittee. Hestatedthe parkinglotfromHobartStreetwillbereusedtominimizecoststothetown. Another drivewayfromPleasantStreetwill beexpandedtoallowaleftandrightturn. Theparkinglotinfrontwillbewheretheexistingbuildingis. Alongtheside ofbuildingwill bethecanopyforthevans. Treeswillbeplantedalongtheparkinglotandlowevergreenshrubswillbe placedalongtheperimeteronthefront, sideandbackofbuilding. Aflagpolewillbeontheeastsideofbuildingwith stampedconcretepavement. ExistingsidewalkswillbeusedalongPleasantandHobartStreets. Hewilllookatthebus canopyareatobesureafiretruckcanmaketheturnincaseofemergency. Thefront andcentercolumnswereremoved fromthebusport. Mr. SciotarequestedtoinformMr. Verderameofwhatparkingwillbeavailableandwhenduringthe construction process. Mr. Verderamestatedtherewasamemorial onthegroundsforRobOshana. Mr. Bradwellstated hewilltakeapictureofthememorial soitcanbemovedandputbackonthegroundsoncetheprojectiscomplete. Mr. Bradwell nextpresentedplansforstormwatermanagement. Abasinonthesouthwestareaofthesite will controlwater beforeitleavesthesite. Waterwillbetreatedinaccordancewithstateguidelines. Theconceptualdesignhadan undergroundsystemwhichwaseliminatedforasignificant costsavings. Allprimaryutilityserviceswillcomeoff PleasantStreetandusetheexistingnetwork. Thesewill belocatedonthesouthsideofbuildingalongwiththegenerator. Mr. Bovinostatedhisconcernwiththedetentionarea. Heunderstandsthecost involvedwithanundergroundsystembut suggesteditbelookedatagainasopenpondsrequiremaintenance. Itwillalsoleavemoreopenspaceontheproperty. Hesuggestedlandscapinginfronthaveonetree, nottwoasshowninthedesign. Mr. SciotaacknowledgedMr. Bovinos pointandrecommendedputtinganundergroundsysteminasabidalternatetoseewhatthecost comesinat. 5. Sitedesign changesbroughtlotsofsavingsbydisturbinglessofthesite, alsomakingthebuildingsmaller, keepingexistingcurbcuts andsidewalks. Sheaskedasitespecialisttolookatthecostofanunderground vs. abovegrounddrainageandthe underground systemcostsapproximately $ 20, 000- 30, 000more. It canbeincorporated asanalternateinthebid. 6. ReportfromExecutiveDirector Mr. Verderamestatedtherehasneverbeenaproblemwiththedetentionpondoverflowing. Heaskedifthe entrancefromHobart St. couldbemadebigger? Mr. Kohlstatedtheywilllookintoit.
