California Wine Trip
Napa and Sonoma Valleys
May 2008
Didn’t take much to convince Øystein to upgrade in the car rental.
”It’s gotta be a convertible in California!!!” (My little socialist enjoying capitalism, hehe...)
Napa Valley – reminds me of Tuscany...
Øystein enjoying his moment with a Mustang convertible!
It was part of my wine studies to visit as many wineries as possible. Purely for the sake of my education!!!!
The first day we hooked up with Nan and Chase and followed then the next day.
An institution for your picnic supplies in Napa Valley.
And corresponding institution in Sonoma Valley.
Sonoma Valley
Our favourite – Kokomo Winery. With their winery dog Zack.
Øystein and Chase discussing a Pinot Noir.
Øystein still very proud of himself!
While Vera was always ready with her little notebook for more ”studying”...
... Øystein had enough!!!
I could easily do with a summer house like this!
The hills of Carneros.
Seen this in the movies?
The Golden Gate Bridge
Apparently this is the most crooked (”crookedest”) street in San Francisco.
The tram is like in the movies. Really steep hill and people hanging outside. So cool!!!
This is what we brought home from California.
