Call for Abstracts and Posters Upstate AHEC in Collaboration with the Nursing Research Committee of the Greenville Health System, AnMed Health, Nursing Division Greenville Technical College and Gamma Mu Chapter and Mu Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, is sponsoring its Thirteenth Annual Research Symposium Integrating Research With Action to Promote Health Equity Friday, September 25, 2015 8:50 AM – 4:00 PM Check in @ 8:30 AM The Technical Resource Center – Auditorium - Barton Campus Greenville Technical College 620 South Pleasantburg Drive - Greenville SC Purpose: This conference will provide participants with ways to identify health equity issues in research involving access to quality care for all people and apply findings across healthcare settings. Submission deadline: Abstracts must be submitted no later than June 5, 2015. Notice of acceptance will be sent via email to applicants no later than July 10, 2015. Required Submission Guidelines 1. Abstracts may be submitted for one of three categories: podium, poster, or student poster. 2. Oral and poster presentations should relate to the theme and to ways research findings or evidence based projects contribute to clinical practice. 3. Collaborative research or evidence based projects are encouraged but we will also accept single author submissions. 4. Presentations and posters may be for completed projects or work in progress. 5. Submit a 2-3 paragraph abstract that consists of: Title Author(s) and contact information, Include all authors’ names, credentials and titles as you would like them to appear in the program brochure. Summary of project or study methodology Limitations/conclusions Implications for practice Applying for Oral Presentation or Applying for Poster Presentation Oral presentation learning objectives: what participants should expect to be able to do after the presentation. Posters must be freestanding for display on a 6’ X 18” table which will be provided by Greenville Technical College. 6. If accepted, at least one author must be available at the poster during poster session times to be available for questions and discussion with participants.
