Upcoming Events:St Patrick’s Day – 14 Mar 14442 Sqn hosting There will be live music and green beer. Come out and show your love for the Irish.

RCAF Mess Dinner – 16 Apr 14 BGen (Ret’d) Greg Matte as the guest of honour.

Daily Events:Wed and Thurs from 1400 to 1800, Mess is open to all ranks. An excellent opportunity to get your entire Sqn/Unit out for a social event. Or perhaps organize a PD Day at the Mess followed by some drinks.

Lunch is avail at the OMess every Friday from 1130-1230. Still only $5 for soup and a sandwich made to order.

Coffee Break with Sticky Buns every Wednesday at 1000. A great time to network with Officers from all over the base!

Things to remember:Free Childcare Every Friday! No excuse to miss TGIF now! Drop off your little ones between 1615 and 1915 for free childcare (now located at the 19 Wing Family Center) every Friday. Reserve by the Monday, but drop in spots may be available if you are making later plans.

This makes for a cheap date night (dinner is free for you, just $10 for your non-member spouse, and childcare is free).

Hospital Comforts/Bereavements

(1) Regular force officers who are members of the Mess and who are hospitalized for a minimum period of 48 hours shall receive comforts from the Mess. The maximum value shall not exceed $50.

(2) Regular force officers who are Ordinary members of the Mess and suffer the loss of a member of their spouse's or their immediate family shall receive a wreath/floral arrangement or a cash donation to a specified charity from the Mess. The maximum value shall not exceed $75.

(3) Regular Force members of the Mess who are new parents will receive a gift in the value of $30 per member, per baby born or adopted.
