• Various rally cups over the last 35 years have produced many champions not only at national but also WRC level. The Vivo GT cup will produce our future rally stars in SA without a doubt.

• Identical VW Polo cup rally cars will provide an equal platform forcompetitors to enter and compete in the national championship at a competitive level without the high entry cost normally associated with rallying.

• The 1.0lt Turbo power unit coupled to a close ratio gearbox has proven to be exceptionally reliable in over 2500km of testing, proving that the Cup will be competitive and very cost effective to compete in.

• The 2020 Vivo GT Cup will feature 6 rounds all on gravel.

• Product sponsorship is being put in place to assist competitors with beneficial pricing on genuine parts from VW Motorsport.

• The series controllers will assist all teams with marketing platforms that can be used during the championship.

• A Vivo GT Cup village will be set-up in the service park to host cars and crews and create an area that can be used for hospitality and supporters to visit.

• Technical rules will be enforced by the team from VW Motorsport SA to enable equal competition and a lock on development. (Similar to Polo Cup)

THE VIVO GT RALLY CUP WILL BE A NEW ADDITION TO THE 2020 SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP
