    While the FA website isaesthetically true to its branding, itis very dicult to navigate. Tereare too many navigation options,low background contrast, andthe layout is not riendly to smallbrowser sizes. Some o the linkssimply dont work. Teir onlinestore is almost impossible to usemaking FAs online experience avery rustrating one.

    While I understand that they are atrendy hipster brand, you cant haveironic site navigation.

    I wanted to maintain FAs quirky/kitsch use o animal images. Telanding page consists o a simpleconsolidated navigation overlaidover alternating images o animals.Te site is easy to navigate andriendly to smaller browser sizes, asyou no longer have to scroll to seeall the navigation.

    Te e-commerce has beenintegrated into the collections arearather than having a separate storepage. Te store pages are simplylaid out with breadcrumbs or easynavigation. Further browsing isachieved with the navigation dropdown menu.

    Now we have a site that maintainsits kitsch hipster aesthetic andiseasily navigated.

    My aim with the redesign was toreally make the lookbook page aeature. Sportsgirl had chosen areally un theme, Postcards fromHawaii, but had done nothing withit. I decided to run with it and takeit ull page. Now the user can havea more interactive experience.Te calls on the Sportsgirl site arestrangely placed; in some casesthere are two calls or the same

    item next to each other. I tried tosimpliy that and create a un andunctional site.

    I dont know what the designerswere thinking when they made thissite. Hal o it is in ash, the otherhas some very odd layout decisions.

    Te main issue is that the shopcontent, while there is a lot oit, is completely unorganised.Perhaps the designers were tryingto replicate the chaotic rustratingexperience o siing through

    products at one o their stores?

    Te rst thing I did whenredesigning the site was put incontent lters. Te user can ltercontent with the collapsible menu.I decided to go or a much moreminimal layout, Shags productsare very loud, they dont need anequally loud site competing.

    Te simplied layout shows moreproducts per row, but also has an

    increased image size. I have addedsocial media links to each producton roll over. It seems crazy to methat Shag arent on Pinterest, it is ahuge missed opportunity.

    Te Melbourne Underground FilmFestival (MUFF) was ormed outo disagreements over the contentand running o the MelbourneInternational Film Festival (MIFF).

    MUFF is a response to the politicso MIFF, Festival director RichardWolstencro ounded MUFF in2000 as an a lternative independentlm estival, eaturing mostly

    genre, controversial, transgressiveand avant garde material.

    MUFF presents itsel as a earlesstroublemaker, pushing theboundaries o what society deemsappropriate. Running with thatidea I created a humorous series opromotional material or MUFFbased on censorship.

    Te censorship mark on theestival program peels of toreveal inormation about a socialmedia campaign. Festival goersare encouraged stick the MUFFcensorship logo on existing mediaand then post the results onInstagram and witter.

    Not only does this create a uninteraction with the estival

    program but the competition willcreate very inexpensive social andtraditional media buzz.
