Page 22 • May 2017 • Fruitport Area News Calvary Christian Schools Class of 2017 Ililo Bisee – Ililo is the son of Matt and Shawn Pay- ton. He has played soccer for 5 years, basketball for 4 years and track for 2 years. He currently leads worship for the youth ministry at Redemption Church and CCS Chapel. He has also participated in community service programs such as beach clean-up, highway clean-up, and No More Sidelines. Ililo plans on at- tending Grace Bible College in Grand Rapids to pursue a degree in ministry. Katie Ann Boeve Katie is the daughter of Dr. Tad and Sherry Bo- eve. She participates in the National Honor Society, student council, and is part of the worship team at CCS. Katie is active in her youth group, along with serving in nursery and going on a mission trip with Royal Ser- vants. She has volunteered with Love Inc. Food Truck, Summer Special Needs Camps, and Journey to Bethlehem. Katie will attend Liberty University in the fall to pursue a degree in Spe- cial Education. Jared Martin Burns – Jared is the son of Matt Burns and Melanie Eilers. He played varsity basket- ball for one year and is participating in his 5 th year of track and field. He has gone on three mission trips helping with hurricane clean up, as well as helping in community recreation centers. Jared will attend Muskegon Community College in the fall to study general education and then transfer to a university. Alexis Leigh Chartrand – Alexis is the daughter of David and Laurie Chartrand. She par- ticipates in National Honor Society, band and choir. Alexis has gone on mission trips to Guatemala, Detroit and locally, as well as vol- unteering in her church nursery. She will attend Baker College or Muskegon Community College in the fall to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice. Alec Phillip Cammenga – Alec is the son of Jim and Anne Cam- menga. He is the president of the CCS National Honor Society and participates in basketball, soccer, and choir. Alec is active in his church youth group and has participated in community service projects, such as No More Sidelines. He has also been on the A-B Honor Roll and received special honors such as All Conference Bas- ketball. All Conference Soccer, All District Soccer, and Showcase Athletic Honors. Alec will attend Muskegon Community College or Cornerstone University in the fall to pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Christopher Scott Byers – Christopher is the son of Scott and Rosanne Byers. He has been on the CCS Golf team for 5 years and was a member of the basketball team for 4 years. He has participated in band and choir for 4 years, in the duet category in Showcase, as well as volunteering for No More Sidelines. Chris- topher will attend college in the fall to pursue a degree in business. Alyssa Vasilisa Chartrand – Alyssa is the daughter of David and Laurie Chartrand. She has gone on mission trips to Guatemala, Detroit and locally, as well as volun- teering in her church nurs- ery. Alyssa will attend Muskegon Community College in the fall to pur- sue a degree in Culinary Arts or Early Childhood Education. Jordyn Lynae Hamilton – Jordyn is the daughter of Dan and Carrie Hamilton. She has participated in volleyball, basketball, track, soccer and cross country. She also serves on the worship team. Her missions outreach in- clude serving breakfast to the homeless and No More Sidelines. Jordyn plans on attending Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana in the fall to study nursing. Alyssa Maree John- son – Alyssa is the daugh- ter of Jerod and Emily John- son. She participates in choir, volleyball and soccer. Alyssa plans on attending Muskegon Community College in the fall for two years and then transfer to a university to pursue a business degree. Rachel Joy Postiff – Rachel is the daughter of Bob and Linda Postiff. In addition to being on the All A’s Honor Roll for 4 years, she also represents CCS in YAC of Muskegon County and participates in National Honor Society, band, choir and Showcase. Rachel is also an AWANA Cubbie leader at her church and has participated in Journey to Bethlehem and the Feeding America Food Truck. Rachel will attend Spring Arbor University in the fall to double major in Global Studies and Marketing, with a minor in Spanish. Allyson Rae Richards – Allyson is the daughter of Brad and Joy Richards. She is a mem- ber of the National Honor Society and participated in track and varsity basketball for 5 years, in which she received First Team All State for 2 years. Allyson has also volunteered for No More Sidelines. She will attend Cornerstone Univer- sity to play basketball and pursue a degree in Secondary Education with a major in Learning Disabilities. Laurie Rae Schreur – Laurie is the daughter of Kristie and Matt Burns and Tom Schreur. She par- ticipates in National Honor Society, volleyball, soccer, choir, and tutors students weekly. Laurie has also been on the honor roll for four years and volunteers in the nursery and Sunday School at her church. Laurie plans on attending Indiana Wesleyan University in the fall to pursue a degree in Medical Technology. Kyleah Cho Sutherland – Kyleah is the daughter of Ben and Mary Sutherland. She is a member of the student council and National Honor Society and also participates in soccer, volleyball, basket- ball and choir. Kyleah also participated in community service with missions trips and No More Sidelines. She will attend Liberty University in the fall to pursue a degree in Secondary Education. Emily Morgan Turbett – Emily is the daughter of Sean and Re- becca Turbett. She is a member of the National Honor Society and also participates in basketball, volleyball, in which she received an All Conference Honorable Mention award, and soccer. Emily also volunteers at North Ottawa Community Hospital and has worked with No More Sidelines. She will attend Grand Valley State University in the fall to study medicine with the goal of attending medical school. Lindsey Ann VanRyswyk – Lindsey is the daughter of Gregg and Lynnae VanRyswyk. She played basketball and participated in band and Showcase. Lindsey was also involved in 4H and has gone on mission trips. She plans on attending Muskegon Community College in the fall to pursue degrees in music and busi- ness. She would also like to be involved in overseas missions work. Jakob David Wells – Jakob is the son of David and Sherry Wells. He par- ticipates in the 400m in track and field. Jakob will attend college to pursue a degree in foreign language. Alexes Gabrielle Wilson – Alexes is the daughter of Rhonda Wil- son. She participates in basketball, soccer and band. She went on a mission trip to West Virginia and has participated in community service with highway clean- up and No More Sidelines. Alexes will attend Calvin College to play basketball and study pre-pharmacy. Zeri Andrew Zelenka – Zeri is the son of Paul and Beth Zelenka. He participated in basket- ball and soccer, in which he was voted MVP, First Team, and First Team All District. Zeri participated in community service No More Sidelines. He plans on attending Grand Rapids Community College in the fall to study Automotive Technology.
