An Interview with the College’s Executivesabout CIC Studies, about access to Education, and about Charity and SponsorshipQuestion: How important is study, education and training, and what is CIC’s role in this?Answer: “The College was founded in 1935 to meet a clear need and demand for skills and for learning. The College’s 3 Founders were a teacher, an academic, and an entrepreneur; that is important and is at the heart of the College, and is why the programmes we offer: (i) are professionally written to make learning easy and enjoyable, and (ii) provide both vocational knowledge and practical academic understanding, and(iii) are designed to enable career development, successful employment and better standards of living.Read the testimonials and success stories of our Members - we achieve these aims for our Members!”Question: What does the College do to encourage learning and increase access to education?Answer: “The College is run as a distance-learning College, so anybody anywhere in the world can study with us. Our low Fees are usually the best investment a person will ever make, and include everything that is needed to study, learn, and gain a valuable qualification. We have a strict equal opportunity policy and we encourage anybody to study and achieve their career goals. Men and women from some of the poorest countries in the world enrol with the College, and so do royal princes and princesses, politicians from the richest countries, and people of all education, experience and nationality - anybody can study with the College.” Pictured is Prince Nayf Al-Thani of Qatar with his CIC MBA/AMBA award.

Question: Does the College sponsor students and does it work with any charities?Answer: “Yes, the College works with charitable and humanitarian organisations. Currently the main charity we sponsor is HELP DADAAB, sponsoring men and women from the Dadaab Refugee Camps (in East Africa) and from the local community in Kenya. We allow employees of approved registered charities and of the United Nations a 20% Fees reduction, and may allow or sponsor individuals up to 20% of a CIC course Fee for special cases on request. We support the ‘Quality Education’ goal of the United Nations, which aims for inclusive and quality education for all and to promote the availability of lifelong learning.” Here are photos of the Vice Principal last year delivering CIC Programs to one group of sponsored men and women in Dadaab, and giving a talk and advice to another group.
