30 Traveller learners were identified as going on to a second area of sessions or enrolling in some other provision

Many more had stated an interest in progressing to other skills provision

Partnership Working

The project worked with over 60 agencies, organisations and individual trainers/skills providers, many of which had not previously worked with Traveller learners

Successful Outcomes3 Learners went into employment as a direct result of

attending sessions/courses

2 Learners went into voluntary work

3 Learners following their Work Skills Training sessions went on to actually deliver skills training sessions

1 Learner was nominated for an Adult Learner Award and won!

What Didn’t Work!

Responsibility for outreach to and support for learners fell almost entirely to myself and a team colleague

Provided provision (outreach/teaching/progression)

Lack of ongoing support from partnership organisations during and when project finished
