Camp Manager - Job Discription1. To plan, direct, and supervise all camp programs and staff.

2. Define camp goals and/ or define and plan program to reflect camp goals.3. Originate and carry out a system for recruiting campers and staff utilizing brochures, telephone calls, reunions, hot prospect lists, etc.

4. Prepare and conduct pre-camp and in-service staff trainings.5. Order or supervise the ordering of food, supplies, and equipment, and arrange for proper distribution.6. manage the day-to-day functions of camp life7. Set and supervise office procedures, opening-and closing-day procedures for staff and campers.8. Develop routines, schedules, and procedures for camp operation.9. Assign staff activities and other responsibilities.10. Assign staff and campers to cabins or groups.11. Supervise and evaluate, or supervise evaluations of, all operations and program staff.12. Maintain and review records and evaluations of all programs, operations, staff, and facilities.13. Prepare an evaluation and summary of current season including inventories, staff evaluations, camper reports, and recommendations for the following season.14. Define and monitor crisis management plan, including emergency procedures.15. Organize and/ or approve trips out of camp for program, supplies, and crisis management.16. Monitor safety and all procedures as they pertain to the complete supervision of all campers and staff.17. Help provide an atmosphere for developing good morale and well-being among the camp family.18. These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required.19. Performs maintenance and repairs on camp facilities including plumbing, painting, carpentry, cleaning, and electrical duties.20. Employs and supervises staff to operate dining facilities.21. Plans menus, prepares food supply orders, and stores food.22. Makes arrangements for disposal of garbage.23. Assumes responsibility for checking in and out camp grounds and non-camp groups and maintenance of records.24. Inspects all facilities and collects breakage fees.25. Supervises and orients camp counselors.26. Assumes responsibility for maintaining standard first aid supplies.27. Maintains required health records to insure proper payment of accident claims resulting from camp participation.28. Maintains liaison with medical doctors in the area.29. Assumes responsibility for weekly camp attendance summary, program evaluation, counselor evaluation, and other required reports.30. Assumes responsibility for collecting camp fees, depositing money in the bank, and keeping accurate financial records.31. Assumes responsibility for security of camp facilities and camp personnel.32. Assumes responsibility for inventory and ordering of recreational equipment and supplies.33. Maintains liaison with forest service personnel.

34. Aids in the evaluation of camp programs and personnel.35. Budgeting and establishing financial targets and forecasts;36. Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided;37. Keeping financial and administrative records;38. Managing the payroll and monitoring spending levels;39. Maintaining stock levels and ordering new supplies as required;40. Interacting with customers 41. Liaising with suppliers and clients42. Planning new promotions and initiatives43. Quality and Quantity control44. Performs related work as required.
