How to plan a campaign
Before that
what do we call a “campaign”?
A campaign can be defined as a uni-focus, short term strategic communication program, making use of various
mass media, aimed at a defined target audience.
1.Define your goalSet your strategy
You need a goal:
Alice: which way should I go?Chester Cat: where do you want to go?
Alice: I don’t know.Chester Cat: Then it doesn’t matter which way you go.
Even Chester cat knew you need a goal
Define the measures
When ever you set a goal you need to define how do you want to measure if you achieved the goal in the end.
Review the campaign goal continuously
2.5 W and 1 H of campaign planning:
5 Ws• Who? Who is the audience? • What? What to say? • Where? Where are our audiences?• Why? Why are we doing this? (the
objectives)• When? When is the best time?
1 H• How? How are we going to do this?
