Campbelltown City Council sees

Campbelltown as

the ENGINE of the south west.

It’s self sustaining in the sense that it has a large shopping centre, it has a university, it has a major hospital, it has beautiful recreational opportunities and a fantastic arts centre, so it’s the perfect place for people to invest.

Part of what we are trying to do as a Council is to reduce the red tape that we have as an organisation, so that we can work with investors and developers and all the major stakeholders to have easy access to help us grow.

Once upon a time, Campbelltown was chosen merely for the fact that it was affordable, where as now people are choosing it for

the beauty and the attractions it has to offer.

People chose to live in Campbelltown now because there is opportunity.

When we chose to reinvest in NSW four years ago, we gave due consideration in who to invest with and Campbelltown was ultimately the council we chose. They don’t want to just approve something for approval’s sake, they want to make sure that

will use it, the COMMUNITYvalue it and benefit from it.Campbelltown has a really strong population base that is growing at a very good rate. You’ve got

and really partners with you to deliver those, and you’ve got infrastructure and investment, more broadly, that is supporting continued investment.

Working towards the development of this new fantastic building at the Campbelltown Hospital site which will be our new clinical school has been

and the enthusiasm from Campbelltown City Council has been truly amazing. I’ve sat in on meetings where people have said ‘that’s not possible’ or ‘that’s not policy’ and within 30 seconds, someone out here will say

We want the adventurers here, we want the Christopher Columbuses who want to go out and give it a try, try something new, work with the community around its needs, and because much of what we do has been led by what the community want,

I don’t think we can go wrong.
