takes to win workshop organized by COEP on 7th
and 8th
of September,2019 at
COEP’s Main Auditorium. This workshop was all about automobile
engineering such as Breaks , chassis & structure, Steering, suspension & vehicle
dynamics, Engine & alternatives , etc. They divided students into groups and
took Quiz competition. In this competition Harshad Joshi got First Prize.

E&TC students appreciated by Principal Sir for conducting workshop and
seminar for E&TC students on Robotics, HTML and German Language
NEW TRENDS IN ENGINEERING
Architecture robots and 3D printers:
1. The way we make things has changed but will change more drastically still
2. Robotics is coming to the construction industry
3. It won't be long before we are assisting in designing to a construction process
that involves assembly robots
4. Assisted robotics, in which a human and robot work together to direct the
construction process, is also on the horizon.
Artificial intelligence (AI)
1. AI enables producers to make sense of the overwhelming data that their
factories, operations and consumers generate, and to transform that data into
meaningful decisions.
2. Today, 70 per cent of captured production data goes unused.
3. Applying AI to the connectivity of Internet of Things (IoT), producers are able
to orchestrate and streamline business processes from desktops to machines,
across department walls and tiers of suppliers.
4. The most promising immediate opportunities for applying AI in production
systems are in quality management, predictive maintenance and supply chain
optimization.
Advanced Building Materials Will Shape the Civil Engineering Designs
of the Future.
Advanced materials with shifting properties that adapt to external conditions are being
introduced into the civil engineering industry. From cement composite, advanced
steel, and self-healing concrete, to fibre-reinforced polymer composites, technology is
transforming the materials being used in construction.
In 2017, Pavegen, a UK-based technology company outfitted sidewalk in London with
innovative technology that harvests kinetic energy from pedestrian movement and
turns it into usable energy. This project highlights the need for smart materials to trap
and utilize energy which is otherwise wasted. Similarly, 4D-printed structures that
transform according to the shifting environmental conditions are the latest fad in civil
engineering because they prolong the life of constructions. Buildings in major cities
around the world are coated with photo catalytic titanium dioxide to combat pollutants
in the air. In the long-term, it will mitigate human-induced environmental hazards.
The civil engineering design of the future is all about advanced materials that are
largely focused on reducing carbon footprints and harnessing the energy that our
planet has to offer.
