BUILD & RISE

BUILD (Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity) and similar programs prepare students for

Ph.D. programs or research careers.

BUILD & RISE scholars each receive a scholarship, stipend, or

pay in order to support their continued participation.

RESEARCH SUPPORT

BUILD is made possible by a $22.7 million grant from the National Institutes for Health (NIH).

TEACHING INTENSIVE,RESEARCH DRIVEN

The University Honors Program provides opportunities for

undergraduate research, thesis support, and faculty mentorship.

Over 10,000 students were conferred degrees during CSULB’s 2017 commencement ceremonies

GRADUATION BEGINS TODAYAt orientation, all newly

admitted full-time students will meet with an adviser and enroll

in at least 12 units.

Mandatory advising checkpoints help keep students

on track to graduate.

CSULB’s Highly Valued Degree Initiative aims to double the 4-year graduation rate by 2025.

The Beach 4-Year Pledge Program offers unique support to eligible students who want to

graduate in 4 years or less.
