Description:
As the problem of sexual violence and assault escalates, new laws seek to protect and prevent. Building on the requirements of the Clery Act, the Campus Sexual Violence Act (Campus SaVE) was signed into law in March 2013 as a new amendment to the Violence Against Women Act of 1994. The Campus SaVE Act expands on protected classes and prohibited behaviors and requires proactive training initiatives on the part of colleges and universities. Straight from the negotiated rule-making in Washington, D.C., presenter S. Daniel Carter explains what you need to know about the updated requirements, and the Department of Education's timeline for implementation and enforcement of the Campus SaVE Act.
