• Planning reduces the need for subsequent editing and manipulation.

• Break the procedure down into small steps.

• Organize a step by step tutorial for the procedure.

• Develop a script to verbalize your steps.

• Test your directions.

• The content of your presentation should be clear and simple– easy to understand– clear and simple language also benefits people

whose first language differs from your own– this includes persons who communicate in sign

• Set aside enough time

• Experiment with the microphone - different volume levels and placement settings

• Record in a quiet location

• Wait until the Recorder shows that frames are advancing before speaking
