The program offers Canadians up to $5,000 for making energy-efficient improvements to their homes such as replacement windows and doors. Energy-efficient upgrades not only make your home more comfortable to live in, they lower your monthly energy costs and help fight climate change. Steps to plan your home retrofits: Step 1 : Learn more about the program and how to qualify for the grant. Step 2 : Register and book your pre-retrofit evaluation or call 1-833-674-8282. Step 3 : Plan, document and complete your home retrofits. Step 4 : Book your post-retrofit evaluation and apply for reimbursement. Step 5 : Receive your reimbursement! Participants are eligible for up to $5,600 total under the initiative, with $5,000 for your retrofit project and up to $600 in pre- and post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluations. Windows & Doors (Consumer Information)

On May 27th, 2021 the Federal Government launched the Canada Greener Homes Grant.

The program o�ers Canadians up to $5,000 for making energy-e�cient improvements to their homes such as replacement windows and doors. Energy-e�cient upgrades not only make your home more comfortable to live in, they lower your monthly energy costs and help �ght climate change.

Steps to plan your home retrofits:

Step 1 : Learn more about the program and how to qualify for the grant.

Step 2 : Register and book your pre-retrofit evaluation or call 1-833-674-8282.

Step 3 : Plan, document and complete your home retrofits.

Step 4 : Book your post-retrofit evaluation and apply for reimbursement.

Step 5 : Receive your reimbursement!

Participants are eligible for up to $5,600 total under the initiative, with $5,000 for your retro�t project and up to $600 in pre- and post-retro�t EnerGuide evaluations.

Eligibility Requirements

Windows and doors are eligible for reimbursement when they meet or exceed the approved energy ratings and U- factors provided by the government .

To be eligible for $125 per rough opening, your retrofits must:

– U - Factor of 1.2 2 W/m² K or less OR– Energy Rating > 34

To be eligible for $250 per rough opening, your retrofits must:

–U - Factor of 1.05 W/m² K or less OR–Energy Rating > 40

To be eligible for $125 per rough opening, your retrofits must:

– U - Factor < 1.2 2 W/m ² K OR– Energy Rating > 34

Important Information

Homeowners must ap ply for their pre- retrofit eva luation before commencing work from any contractor.Homeowners must reta in a ll receipts from their pre- an d p ost-retrofit eva luation s, as well as invoices for products p urchased an d insta llation.When p urchasing windows – the homeowner must reta in a ll ENERGY STAR stickers for their p ost-retrofit evaluation .Th e maximum allotted gran t is u p t o $ 5,60 0 . $ 5,0 0 0 for eligible retrofits, an d u p t o $ 60 0 for th e cost of p re- an d p ost-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation s. Homeowners must pay up front for their EnerGuide evaluation.Homeowners can stack gran t fun ding with other retrofit gran t programs. Participants will be required to declare fun ding or rebates they've received . Homeowners will n ot be reimb ursed for more than 100% of the tota l investment made on each eligible retrofit measure.

Canada Greener Homes GrantTo qualify for the Canada Greener Homes grant, you must p urchase ENERGY STAR certi�ed products.

ENERGY STAR® - Canada

Windows an d D oors may comply for Canada’s Energy Star® program based on two compliance paths; the products U -factor tota l, or the products Energy Rating (E R).

The ER is based on a product’s overa ll performance with the following three criteria:
