This time it was at the Ontario Outdoor Farm Show. A Limousin cross steer entered by Tom Hern topped the entries that also included five other breeds.

Back in July 2010, Limousin bull BDM Little Zipper was declared Su-preme Champion at Harding Fair in Manitoba. The good news and photo didn’t reach the CLA office until just recently, thus the tardiness of reporting this awesome news.

Congratulations to Cottage Lake Livestock on winning the Supreme Championship in Lloydminster. Limousin female Greenwood PLD Ultra Fancy 2U was named best female of all breeds at the 2010 Lloydminster Stockade Roundup. Congratulations to its owners Cottage Lake Livestock, the Papenhuyzen family of Stony Plain, Alberta.

Merry Christmas and

Happy New Year to all Limousin Enthusiasts!

As Canadian beef produc-ers, the Canadian Cattle Identifica-tion Agency (CCIA) is asking CBBC members to take a few minutes(< 10 minutes) of their time to assist us in the evaluation of our current tag distri-bution system.

CCIA is currently undertaking a review and study of the current tag distribution model. The objective is to understand ways to improve overall data integrity and also identify oppor-tunities to enhance the supply chain efficiency of the animal identification program in Canada. As an important stakeholder within the process, CCIA would like your feedback on the cur-rent system and how it is working for you today. A survey has been devel-oped to allow you to share your in-sight about the tag distribution system, which will help shape the outcome of this study and provide direction for the future.

To complete this survey you will only need a couple of minutes to answer the multiple choice questions presented in the web link included below. The information submitted is anony-mous and they only ask if you are a producer but they will not ask for your name or contact infor-mation.

This is valuable opportu-nity to make sure your voice is heard and to influence the future direction of the animal identifica-tion tag distribution process in Canada.

To access the survey please click on the link provided below, or copy and paste that link in your internet explorer URL ad-dress:
