PERSONAL
I was born in Xi’an, mainland China. By the time I started my study-aboard journey as an
international high school student, I had accomplished multiple performing tours traveling to
Denmark, Holland, Hungry, Austria, Jordan, Israel, and Romania as a Guzheng (Chinese
Zither) performer with the China Youth Ensemble (1995, 1996, 1998, three consecutive tour
years).
I studied and lived in NYC, Columbia (South Carolina), and San Francisco during the first
three years of my life in the U.S. Since then I had never left bay area cities.
My long-time hobbies and interests are singing, reciting, traveling with family, teaching,
cooking, creative writing (lyrics), skating, racquet sports (tennis, Ping Pong, badminton,
racquetball), reading, culture, and performing.
