How you can help your child…•Reading a range of different books

together and talk about them with your child

•Discussing what they are learning at school and relating it to the home environment

•Encourage your child to talk about their day and if you have any concerns talk to the class teacher

•Practice times tables, handwriting and spellings at home

We need your help with…• Homework tasks

• Revising high frequency words (Y2 are expected to learn 200 words)

•Timetables 2, 5, 10 and beyond

• Encourage your child to make use of Mathematical skills in everyday situations eg Shopping, measuring when cooking and other household objects.
