But, it’s not every day that one of those kids makes it to a level that commands universal respect as one of the gnarliest power riders of the modern era.

Dan Brisse has put his mark on the game, and it’s rare when a person that is such a BAD ASS is such a good dude at the same time. He’s not a shit talker. He does not spend time hating on the Internet. If you like his snowboarding, or don’t, he’s fine with it. Not to say he doesn’t care about the impression he’s leaving. He does. They prefer to assume the shape of a beautiful woman, young girl, or elderly man and the creatures have the ability to clone the appearance of a specific individual.

They can willingly manifest themselves in people’s dreams and create illusions so elaborate that they are perceived as reality.

The Krakow can fly, become invisible, and oftentimes generates fire or lightning. In some regions of the world the creatures can bend time and space, changing the course of history.

With so many different camber theories in the market today, it can get confusing trying to find the right one. We have talked to many riders around the world who, rightfully so, just want what they know and love. They want the shape they learned to ride on and eventually learned to rip on. With so many different camber theories in the market today, it can get confusing trying to find the right one. We have talked to many riders around the world who, rightfully so, just want what they know and love. They want the shape they learned to ride on and eventually learned to rip on. I’ve always wanted to make a board graphic that followed the motto, “sometimes the simplest ideas are still the best.”

I often wonder though, how simple is too simple?

In 1971, Neil Young rolled on stage and talked about playing a new song for a crowd that came to see him play that night. He strummed Em, C, D, G, and as far as guitar chords go, it doesn’t get much more simple that that.

TECH FEATURES

The Core of a snowboard is just that, the core, the heart, the soul, and the foundation for everything else that goes into a board. This very important element in large, will determine the overall characteristics of a given snowboard, even before one sheet of fiberglass is laid across it. Each CAPiTA deck starts off with a wood core, tip-to-tail, rail-to-rail, allowing for uniform flex, greater control of turn initiation, and incredibly fast response. Different species of wood along with engineered core profiles help give each deck a unique feel and targeted flex. We’ve engineered a series of core composi-tions, each with unique and specific characteristics, to ensure that no matter what your riding style we have your ideal snowboard.

CORE COMPOSITIONS

With Dan Brisse’s riding style in mind, our newest core was designed to perform when it’s all on the line. Ollie power, strength, dampening and reliability were terms emphasized in the design room. This poplar based core has been beefed up with bamboo stringers through the inserts as well as along the edges. This increases the energy throughout the board making it more responsive and powerful. Since bamboo is one of the strongest woods available, durability goes through the roof allowing you to go bigger, faster, and jib with confidence in even the sketchiest of scenarios.

RFC SUSTAINABLE BAMBOODUAL CORE

The P2 SUPERLIGHT core was built for a high performance return of energy in a lightweight and versatile core. From razor sharp turns on demand, to huge ollies, this core was engineered with all-terrain technical freestyle riding in mind. Comprised of an even mix of poplar and paulownia wood, it is strong enough to meet the needs of the Black Death customer while saving considerable weight.

Short for ‘Wood Derived Technology,’ the patented process of pressure bonding wood composite material retains the classic feel of a full wood core board while increasing flex values. Engineered for freestyle, park, and street rail boards the WDT core has high elasticity characteristics surrounding low-density wood fibers. This balance provides a new realm of lightweight, soft flexing boards, with a damp ride and dependable durability.

FIBERGLASSCONFIGURATIONS

Fiberglass combined with a specialized resin is used on the top and bottom of the wood core to protect it from water damage and is also a very impor-tant component when controlling the torsional and longitudinal flex of our boards. When applying the resin, we use a mechanized dispensing system which accurately provides a calculated amount of resin per board to ensure the proper resin to glass ratio is achieved. This process eliminates potential dry spots, preventing delamination and ensures no weight is added from excess resin. All CAPiTA boards are made this way and feature one of the following glass and resin configurations.

SPECIAL BLEND EVO TECH SPECIAL BLEND EVO TECH is a wet lay-up process that uses a polyure-thane based resin component requiring lower consumption of energy and yielding higher technical properties. This adhesion process improves the factory’s working environment, as it does not contain some of the same harsh chemical characteristics used in resins at other factories around the world.

This configuration is an optimum blend of biaxial glass weaves laminated in conjunction with dual “black fleece” additives on top of the core. Under-neath the core, this glass is beefed up by multiple shape specific 30mm carbon fiber beams to increase power output.

TECH FEATURES IVBASE MATERIALS There are two basic types of base material used in our industry: extruded and

sintered. If you don’t like to wax often, but you do repair your base when necessary, extruded is for you. If you are more interested in going faster longer, sintered is your base.

SIDECUT This attribute is the arc on which your board turns. All CAPiTA boards are made with one of four sidecuts.

RADIAL A radial sidecut is a single radius design causing your board to start and finish a turn on the same arc.

NEW AGE DIRECTIONAL Our New Age Directional sidecuts are Progressive sidecuts, which also incorporate Death Grip™ – a reverse sidecut arc in the midsection of the board. Due to a reduced effective edge as a result of hybrid camber shapes, this reverse camber arc provides a point of contact to retain control and consistency throughout the turn.

PROGRESSIVE A true progressive sidecut consists of two or more radii blended together to accommodate the three stages of a turn. They provide easy turn initiation, while offering greater control and stability throughout the turn and maximum power when exiting.

RADICAL TAPER Engineered specifically for deep powder riding, this radial sidecut is comple-mented by a tapered tail. This narrower tail section naturally sinks in the powder while wider nose section floats above the snow line. The result is less work and more fun as the board surfs on one smooth continual arc.

Technology integrated into snowboard construction affects many character-istics of a board’s performance. Flex, along with weight, stability, energy and other factors come into play when considering whether a board is right for you. Flex may also be the most important because it will determine how you will be able to manipulate your board on snow. Soft, flexible boards are great for jibbing and making your snowboard do what you want, when you want. They’re easy to ride and very forgiving. Stiffer boards have more pop, more energy, and more stability at high speeds but they require more effort and skill from the rider as well.

All boards in this catalog are rated on a scale from 1 to 10. The number given is the estimated resistance the board would provide to the average customer.

With Flat Kick design technology we’ve tightened the profile radius that blends the shoulders of the board into the tip and tail height. This is a key area that influences the tempo and feel of turn initiation. With traditional larger tip and tail arcs, the loaded camber contributes to a board’s accelera-tion into a turn. On reverse camber boards the contact points are elevated, removing this camber contribution. As a result, the same traditional tip and tail radii would make the board feel sluggish. Specialized Flat Kick tip and tail arcs combined with elevated reverse camber contact points achieve the ideal tempo into turns. TECH FEATURES IVBASE MATERIALS There are two basic types of base material used in our industry: extruded and

sintered. If you don’t like to wax often, but you do repair your base when necessary, extruded is for you. If you are more interested in going faster longer, sintered is your base.

SIDECUT This attribute is the arc on which your board turns. All CAPiTA boards are made with one of four sidecuts.

RADIAL A radial sidecut is a single radius design causing your board to start and finish a turn on the same arc.

NEW AGE DIRECTIONAL Our New Age Directional sidecuts are Progressive sidecuts, which also incorporate Death Grip™ – a reverse sidecut arc in the midsection of the board. Due to a reduced effective edge as a result of hybrid camber shapes, this reverse camber arc provides a point of contact to retain control and consistency throughout the turn.

PROGRESSIVE A true progressive sidecut consists of two or more radii blended together to accommodate the three stages of a turn. They provide easy turn initiation, while offering greater control and stability throughout the turn and maximum power when exiting.

RADICAL TAPER Engineered specifically for deep powder riding, this radial sidecut is comple-mented by a tapered tail. This narrower tail section naturally sinks in the powder while wider nose section floats above the snow line. The result is less work and more fun as the board surfs on one smooth continual arc.

Technology integrated into snowboard construction affects many character-istics of a board’s performance. Flex, along with weight, stability, energy and other factors come into play when considering whether a board is right for you. Flex may also be the most important because it will determine how you will be able to manipulate your board on snow. Soft, flexible boards are great for jibbing and making your snowboard do what you want, when you want. They’re easy to ride and very forgiving. Stiffer boards have more pop, more energy, and more stability at high speeds but they require more effort and skill from the rider as well.
