Superlativo relativo
The superlative is formed by using a definite article + piu` / meno + adjective + di
DI contracts with a definite article in the usual prepositional contractions.

Comparativi e superlativi irregolari
The adjectives buono, cattivo, grande, and piccolo have both regular and irregular comparative and relative superlative constructions. The regular and irregular forms are often interchangeable, although the context sometimes determines when each should be used. The following chart shows the irregular forms.
