Dear Friends,
Aren’t we lucky to live in such a beautiful region, full of
outdoor activities available all year round? One of the most
popular activities, of course, is boating. Living on the coast,
most of us grew up on, in, or near some type of water with a
boat at the ready for all types of adventures.
If you’re ready for a new boat or are looking to upgrade to a
larger model, now is a great opportunity to take advantage of
our inventory clearance sale. With historically low interest
rates and competitive terms, purchasing a new boat is easier
than you think.
We have partnered with Priority One Financial Services to
provide our clients customized loans with competitive rates,
personalized service, and extended payment term options.
They also offer one-stop shopping for boat insurance and
extended protection coverage too.
You can find more information about the boats we have in
inventory and financing options at www.breathsboats.net or
by giving us a call at 228-467-4211.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
John

SAFE BOATING ON MISSISSIPPI'S WATERS
Mississippi is blessed with an abundance of bays, bayous, lakes, reservoirs, rivers, streams, and
creeks. Boating is a fun pastime, but it can also be dangerous. MDWFP works to reduce
accidents on the water through education and enforcement of boating regulations.
Safe Boating Tips:
1. Always Wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) or Life Jacket
•Most boating fatality victims were found (recovered) NOT wearing a PFD.
•Always carry extra PFDs in both adult and child sizes.
•Children younger than 12 years old must wear a PFD while underway.
2. Avoid Alcohol
•The probability of being killed in a boating accident doubles when alcohol
is involved.
•Operating a boat under the influence is just as dangerous as driving a car after you have been drinking.
•Boating while intoxicated (BWI) is strictly enforced and carries penalties similar to driving while intoxicated,
including possible Driver's License suspension.
3. Enroll in a Boater Education Course
•It is a good idea for the whole family to enroll in a boater education course.
•The majority (52%) of vessels involved in boating accidents are operated by persons 26-50 years of age.
•For information regarding a Mississippi Boater Education Course, visit www.mdwfp.com.
4. Be Especially Careful On Personal Watercraft (PWC)
•PWC operators and passengers must wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved PFD.
•Obey the 50-foot rule. Maintain a 50-foot distance from other PWCs, vessels, persons, shore, or stationary
platforms or other object unless operating at headway (idle) speed.
5. Operate at a Safe Speed
•Outside of no wake zones, there are usually no numerical speed limits on the water; however, citations may be
issued for excessive speed or reckless operation. Use common sense, and operate at a safe speed at all times,
especially in crowded areas.
•Excessive speed is a rate of speed greater than is reasonable or prudent without regard for conditions and
hazards, or greater than will permit a person to bring the boat to a stop within the assured clear distance ahead.
