Commission & FeesWhen Laya healthcare sell you apolicy, Laya healthcare receivecommission from the insurer which isa percentage of the total premium.

You agree to abide by theconditions of the policy.

Section 1 –Definitions /Meanings of wordsused in your policyWe use certain words in this policywhich have a specific meaning. Theyhave this specific meaning whereverthey appear in the policy and

schedule, and are shown in boldprint. Please also see Section 4,Personal Accident, for definitions thatare specific to that section

Accidental damage – means thesudden and unforeseen accidentaldamage to the insured Rental car orany third party property not otherwisespecifically excluded from this policy

Rental car – means any car rentedunder a contract on a daily or weeklybasis from such a rental Company orAgency, which must be fully licensedwith the regulatory authority of thatCountry, State or Local Authority

Car Rental Agreement - means thecontract signed by the lead nameddriver (who must be the name on theSchedule as issued) that states theexcess to which the lead named driveris responsible

Doctor – means a medicalpractitioner who is currently registeredwith the appropriate Medical Councilto practise medicine. This does notinclude:n you; orn your brother, brother-in-law,daughter, daughter-in-law, father,father-in-law, fiancé, fiancée,grandchild, grandparent, husband,mother, mother-in-law, partner,sister, sister-in-law, son, son-in-lawor wife

Endorsement – means any terms and

conditions additional to this policy andspecified on your schedule

Insured person(s) – means the leadcontracting person named on thispolicy who must be the person namedas the main driver in the Car RentalAgreement and is eligible to operateand drive the Rental Car and who isaged between 21 and 85 years old

Material fact(s) – means any fact,information or change incircumstances which could have abearing on our acceptance of yourcover or which may increase thepossibility of theft or accidentaldamage covered by your policy ofinsurance

Period of insurance – means theperiod specified on your schedule

Personal Effects – items normallyworn, used or carried by you in dailylife, but not money, credit cards oritems held or used for businesspurposes

Premium – means the amountreferred to as such on your schedule.

Schedule – means the scheduleissued to you and any endorsementattaching to it

You, Your – means the person(s)named on the schedule attached to

and forming part of this policy

War – means armed hostilitiesbetween two or more countries,whether declared or not, or anywarlike activities, including use ofmilitary force by any sovereign nationto achieve economic, geographic,nationalistic, political, racial, religiousor other ends.

We, us, our – AIG Europe S.A.

Geographical Limit of Cover(Europe) – Republic of Ireland,Northern Ireland, United Kingdomand member states of the EuropeanUnion, Andorra, The Azores, BalearicIslands, Bulgaria, Canary Islands,Channel Islands, Egypt, Gibraltar,Iceland, Liechtenstein, Madeira,Moldova, Monaco, Morocco, Norway,Romania, Russia (West of the Urals),San Marino, Switzerland, Tunisia,Turkey, Ukraine, not exceeding 31consecutive days for any one carrental agreement.

Geographical Limit of Cover(Worldwide) – All countriesexcluding; Afghanistan, The Balkans,Belarus, Cuba, Congo, Iran, Iraq,Ivory Coast, Lebanon, Liberia, NorthKorea, Myanmar, Sudan, Syria,Zimbabwe or the Crimea Region, notexceeding 60 consecutive days for anyone car rental agreement.

Section 2 – ExcessReimbursementWhat is covered

A. Damage, Theft, and Loss of UseWe shall indemnify the insuredperson(s), as named on the CarRental Agreement, for the amount ofthe excess for which an insuredperson is liable under the Car RentalAgreement, subject to a maximum ofthe amount of the excess or €4,000(or equivalent in local currency)whichever is the lower for any oneclaim and subject to a maximum ofthe amount of the excess or €5,000(or equivalent in local currency)whichever is the lower in any oneperiod of insurance, in respect ofdamage (including damage towindows and tyres, the undercarriageand the roof), fire or vandalism to, ortheft or loss of use of, the rental carduring the period of insurance

B. Car Rental Key CoverWe shall indemnify the insuredperson(s), for costs incurred up to amaximum of €600 (or equivalent inlocal currency), for each and everyclaim but subject to a maximum of€2,500 in any one Period, forreplacing a lost or stolen rental carkey and replacement locks andlocksmith charges

C. Baggage CoverWe shall indemnify the insuredperson(s) against loss of or damageto baggage and/or personal effectsas a result of theft or attempted theftfollowing visible and forcible entry intothe rental car, provided that suchtheft or attempted theft is proved andthat the baggage and/or personaleffects are secured in the rental carin either a locked boot or lockedglove box

We shall indemnify the insuredperson(s) for such loss or damageduring the period of insurance up to:• €500 in total for any one claim• €150 for any single item

The maximum payment for any singleitem for which an original receipt,proof of purchase or insurancevaluation (obtained prior to the loss) isnot supplied will be €75, subject to amaximum aggregate amount of €250for all such items

GEOGRAPHICAL LIMIT OF COVERSection 2 of this insurance (ExcessReimbursement) provides Worldwidecover, not exceeding 60 consecutivedays for any one car rentalagreement, or Europe cover, notexceeding 31 consecutive days for anyone car rental agreement, (as statedin your schedule) but excludes thecountries listed at clause 25 in theexclusions section below, for theperiod of insurance

Section 3 –SupplementalLiability (SLI) /Collision DamageWaiver (CDW)

Important:The cover provided by theSupplemental Liability section of thisPolicy shall apply only in excess of (i.e.over and above) the limits ofindemnity specified under any otherinsurance taken out by thePolicyholder and following payment ofthe full limits under such otherinsurance. Please note that where thePolicyholder has taken out liabilityinsurance cover under the Car RentalAgreement, the Policyholder mayconsider the amount of cover underthat agreement to be sufficient, inwhich case the SupplementalLiability Coverage provided by thisPolicy may not be required.

What is covered

A. Loss Damage Waiver (orCollision Damage Waiver (CDW)We will indemnify the insuredperson(s) for losses incurred during aCovered Rental period, as a result ofdamage, fire, vandalism, theft or loss

of use of the rental car issued forbusiness or pleasure, up to the lowerof:

n US$ 100,000 (or the equivalent inlocal currency), orthe value of the rental car;

We will also pay legal costs incurredwith our written consent in the defenceof any claim which may be the subjectof indemnity under this Policy

The indemnity provided by this Section3A shall apply only in excess (i.e. overand above) the limits of indemnityspecified under any other insurancetaken out by the Policyholder

B. Bodily Injury and Damage toMaterial PropertyWe shall indemnify the insuredperson(s) against all sums which theyshall become legally liable to pay asdamages and claimants costs inrespect of claims for bodily injuryand damage to material propertyarising out of an accident resultingfrom the use of a rental car duringthe Period

The indemnity provided by this Section3B shall apply only in excess of (i.e.over and above) the limits ofindemnity specified under any otherinsurance taken out by thePolicyholder and the maximum we willpay in respect of all claims arising

from any one accident shall be thedifference between such limit ofindemnity and US $1,000,000

C. Un-Insured & UnderinsuredMotorist CompensationWhere an insured person(s) is injuredby an uninsured or under-insuredmotorist, or by a motorist whoseinsurance is repudiated by his/herinsurance company, and the InsuredPerson(s) is awarded damages (notincluding costs, which are not coveredunder this policy) in respect of thatinjury by a court of law, we shall pay tothe insured person(s) the uninsuredbalance of the award. The indemnityprovided by this Section 3C shall applyonly in excess of (i.e. over and above)the limits of indemnity specified underany other insurance taken out by thePolicyholder and the maximum we willpay under this Section 3C shall bethe the difference between such limit ofindemnity and the amount of damages(not including costs, which are notcovered under this policy) awarded infavour of the insured person(s)against the motorist for which thatmotorist is uninsured up to the sum ofUS$100,000

D. Hit and Run MotoristCompensationWhere an insured person(s) is injured,or his/her property is damaged by anunidentified or untraceable motorist,and an award of damages is made in

favour of the insured person(s) inrespect of that injury or propertydamage by a court of law, we shall payto the insured person(s) the sum ofdamages awarded

The indemnity provided by this Section3D shall apply only in excess of (i.e.over and above) the limits ofindemnity specified under any otherinsurance taken out by thePolicyholder and the maximum we willpay under this Section 3D shall be thedifference between such limit ofindemnity and the amount of damages(not including costs, which are notcovered under this policy) awarded infavour of the insured person(s) up tothe sum of US$100,000

E. Lost or Stolen Rental Car KeysWe shall indemnify insured person(s)for costs incurred, up to a maximum of€600 for each and every claim, subjectto a maximum of €2,500 for all claimsin any one period of insurance, forthe costs of replacing a lost or stolenrental car key, including replacementlocks and locksmith charges Theindemnity provided by this Section 3Eshall apply only in excess of (i.e. overand above) the limits of indemnityspecified under any other insurancetaken out by the Policyholder

GEOGRAPHICAL LIMIT OF COVERSection 3 of this insurance (SLI/CDW)provides cover in respect of events

taking place in the USA and/orCanada only (or if specifically notedon your Schedule, in South & CentralAmerica) for the period of insurance,not exceeding 60 consecutive days forany one car rental agreement.

What is not Covered– Sections 2 and 3We will not cover the following:1. Any insured person(s) where theappropriate or additionalpremium has not been paid in full

2. Insurance effected incircumstances where a claimmight reasonably be anticipated

3. Loss, damage, accidents,proceedings or any other eventsthat may otherwise give rise to aclaim under this policy whereClaims Notification has not beenmade within 31 days of theoccurrence of the loss, damage,accident, insured person(s)becoming aware of proceedings,or other event

4. Loss arising from: n deliberately self-inflicted injury

or illness, n alcoholism or the use of

alcohol, the use of drugs otherthan in accordance with themanufacturer’s instruction ortreatment prescribed anddirected by a registered doctor,

n the use of drugs for thetreatment of drug addiction,

n or deliberate or recklessexposure to danger (except inan attempt to save human life).

5. Loss arising from, or inconnection with, any fraudulent,dishonest or criminal actcommitted by any insuredperson(s) or any person withwhom they are in collusion

6. Loss arising from the operation ofthe rental car in violation of theterms of the Car RentalAgreement.

7. Loss arising from, or inconnection with, transportingcontraband or illegal trade

8. Loss arising from driving bypersons who are not named in theCar Rental Agreement

9. Losses occurring whilst drivingother than on a dedicated publichighway

10. Driving by persons who do nothave a valid driving licence

11. Losses where the rental car isnot licensed for road use

12. Insured person(s) when drivingany kind of vehicle while thealcohol level in their blood ishigher than the legal limit of thecountry where the incident occurs

13. Losses where the rental car isused in, or training for, racingcompetitions, trials, rallies orspeed testing

14. Fines, penalties, exemplary orpunitive damages or any othertype or kind of judgment or awardwhich does not compensate the

party benefiting from the award orconstitute a judgment for anyactual loss or damage sustained

15. Loss or damage which, but forthe existence of this insurance,should be recoverable under anyother insurance

16. Any expenses assumed, waived orpaid by the Rental Company or itsinsurers.

17. Loss arising in respect of vehicleswhich are not rental cars

18. Expenses reimbursed by anyinsured person's employers'insurer

19. Loss arising from wear and tear,gradual deterioration, insect orvermin, inherent vice or inherentdamage

20. Loss arising on the rental of anyvehicle other than a private carwith less than 9 seats

21. Loss arising on the rental of"expensive or exotic" vehicles notconsidered to be a conventionaland usual rental car, and“antique” vehicles, which are over20 years old or which have notbeen manufactured for 10 yearsor more or any vehicle with aretail purchase price in excess of€100,000

22. Damage to the rental car’scontents

23. Replacement of locks when onlythe parts need to be changed

24. The hire of a rental car by anindividual whose main residenceis located within the USA or

Canada, The Caribbean, Southand Central America.

25. In respect of any claim underSection 2 (Excess Reimbursement),loss or damage arising from anyjourney in, to or through thefollowing countries; Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba,Congo, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast,Liberia, Lebanon, North Korea,Myanmar, Sudan, Syria, TheBalkans, Zimbabwe or theCrimea Region

26. Losses arising outside the periodof insurance

27. Anyone under 21 years or over84 years of age

28. Any claim under Section 2A(Damage, Theft and Loss of Use)or Section 3A (Loss DamageWaiver) arising from theft,attempted theft or vandalism whichis not reported to an appropriatepolice authority within 24 hours oftheft, attempted theft or vandalismor where an official police reporthas not been obtained

29. Any claim under Section 2C(Baggage Cover) arising from

1) theft or damage of banknotes,currency notes and coins,photographic or videoequipment, camcorders, radiosor personal stereo equipment,computers, computer games orassociated equipment, mobiletelephones, telescopes orbinoculars, furs, jewellery,watches, or articles made of or

containing gold, silver or otherprecious metals

2) wear, tear or depreciation ofbaggage and/or personaleffects

3) claims arising from theft orattempted theft which is notreported to an appropriatepolice authority within 24 hoursof discovery or where anofficial police report has notbeen obtained

4) loss or damage arising fromtheft or attempted theft in respectof which evidence of forcedentry has not been confirmed bythe Rental Company and/orpolice, or where baggageand/or personal effects werenot within a locked boot orlocked glove box

30. Benefits payable under anyuninsured or underinsuredmotorist law, first party benefitlaw or no-fault law, or law similarto the foregoing in any territory orjurisdiction

31. Any obligation for which an insuredperson may be held liable underany Workers Compensation Act,disability benefits or unemploymentlaw or any similar law

32. Bodily injury to any personemployed by an insured personand arising out of and in thecourse of such employment or thespouse, child, parent, brother orsister of such employee as a

consequence of such bodily injury33. Bodily injury to any fellow

employee of an Insured Person,sustained while as a passenger inthe rental car and arising out ofand in the course of the fellowemployee’s employment

34. Damage to material propertytransported by an InsuredPerson or in the care, custody orcontrol of an insured person

35. Bodily injury or damage tomaterial property arising out ofthe actual, alleged or threateneddischarge, dispersal, seepage,migration, release or escape ofpollutants

36. Loss or destruction of or damageto any property whatsoever, orany liability, loss or exposurewhatsoever resulting or arisingthere from, or any consequentialloss directly or indirectly causedby or contributed to by or arisingfrom (a) ionising radiation orcontamination by radioactivityfrom any nuclear fuel or anywaste or the combustion ofnuclear fuel or (b) radioactivetoxic explosive or other hazardousproperties or any explosivenuclear assembly or nuclearcomponent thereof

37. Loss or damage directly orindirectly occasioned by,happening through, or inconsequence of war, invasion,acts of foreign enemies, hostilities

(whether war be declared or not),civil war, rebellion, revolution,insurrection, terrorism, military orusurped power or confiscation ornationalisation or requisition ordestruction of or damage to therental car or to property by orunder the order of any governmentor public or local authority

SECTION 4 -Personal AccidentDefinitions / Meanings of wordsused in this sectionAccident – means a sudden,unexpected, and specific event,external to the body which occurs atan identifiable place and time duringthe period of insurance which resultsin bodily injury

Bodily injury – means identifiablephysical injury to your body which iscaused directly and solely by anaccident, is not intentionally selfinflicted and does not result fromsickness or disease

Benefit – means the amounts payableunder items 1-9 in the Table ofbenefits shown in this section of thepolicyComa – means your continuousunconscious state

Gradually operating cause – meansa cause that is the result of a series of

events which occur or develop overtime that cannot be attributable to asingle accident

Hospital – means an institution whichhas accommodation for in-patientsand facilities for diagnosis, surgeryand treatment. It does not include along-term nursing home, arehabilitation centre, an old people’sor convalescence home or anextended-care facility.Hospitalisation – means admissionto a hospital as an in-patient and forat least 24 hours in a row

Loss – means permanent, total andirrecoverable loss of use, or thepermanent and total loss by physicalseverance (separation), of a limbbeing a complete:n foot or leg; orn hand or arm

Loss of sight – means the physicalloss of one or both eyes or the loss ofa substantial part of the sight of oneor both eyes. A substantial part meansthat the degree of sight remainingafter the bodily injury is 3/60 or lesson the Snellen scale after correctionwith spectacles or contact lenses. (At3/60 on the Snellen scale a personcan see at 3 feet something that aperson who has not suffered loss ofsight should be able to see at 60 feet)

Operative time – means whilstdriving, entering or alighting from an

insured rental car during the periodof insurance and within thegeographical limits of cover limits

Paraplegia – means the permanentand total paralysis of lower limbs,bladder and rectum

Permanent total disablement –means disability, other than by loss oflimb or loss of sight, which totallyand permanently prevents you fromdoing any paid work whatsoever forthe remainder of your life

Quadriplegia – means thepermanent and total paralysis of bothupper limbs and both lower limbs

What is Covered –Section 4If you suffer bodily injury during theoperative time which, within twoyears solely and independently of anyother cause, results in death, loss oflimb, loss of sight, permanent totaldisablement, quadriplegia,paraplegia, hospitalisation orcoma, we will pay to you, or yourlegal representative if you die, theappropriate item shown in the Table ofBenefits below

What is NotCovered – Section 4We will not pay any claim directly orindirectly resulting from, contributed byor arising from;

1. You being under 21 years of ageat the date of the accident

2. War, civil war, invasion,insurrection, revolution, use ofmilitary power, or usurpation ofgovernment by military power

3. Permanent total disablementbenefit if you are over 65 yearsof age

4. Any claim for bodily injury whichis directly or indirectly resultingfrom anxiety, stress disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder,psychological or psychiatric illnessor condition or other mental ornervous disorder

5. You being in charge of a rentalcar having a blood/urinealcohol level above the legallimit stated in the Road TrafficActs of that particular country

6. Back injuries unless supported bya diagnosis using appropriatemedical imaging techniques(such as X-rays, CT or MRI scans)

7. You being in charge of a rentalcar having taken drugs otherthan in accordance with themanufacturers instructions or as

prescribed by a doctor8. You driving a rental car whenyour are not in possession of avalid licence to drive such avehicle as required by law

9. Suicide or attempted suicide orintentional self inflicted injuries

10. Any claim for bodily injurywhich is directly or indirectlyresulting from any graduallyoperating cause

11. Whilst using the insured rentalcar for racing or competition orwhen using the insured rentalcar for hire, reward, courierservices, or the carriage ofpaying passengers

Provisions relatingto Section 41. If death occurs within thirteenweeks of bodily injury, thebenefit under item 1 will be paidand not the benefits under items2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 as long as deathwas a result of bodily injury

2. When more than one form ofdisability results in bodily injuryfrom the same accident themaximum amount payable will be€40,000

3. Upon the payment of a claimunder items 1- 7 cover will stop inrespect of the person for whomsuch payment is made

4. A daily rate of 1/7th of the weeklyrate will be payable in respect ofperiods of hospitalisation of lessthan 7 days.

Section 5 - GeneralExclusionsApplicable to thisPolicyWe will not cover the following:

1. Any car not specified on yourschedule as the property insured

2. Any amount in excess of the suminsured, or value, whichever isless;

3. Any car where evidence ofownership has not been provided

4. Any losses arising out of drivingas your occupation or profession

5. Losses that result from the directactions of member of your family,or actions that a member of yourfamily knew about or planned

6. Depreciation or consequentialloss of any kind

7. Losses caused by illegal acts8. Losses that you have intentionallycaused

9. Losses due to mechanical failure,electrical failure, software failure,or data failure including, but notlimited to any electrical powerinterruption, surge, brownout orblackout, or telecommunications

or satellite systems failure10. Losses due to property that has

been confiscated, destroyed orseized by any government orpublic entity

11. Losses due to fire, smoke,lightning, wind, water, flood,earthquake, volcanic eruption,tidal wave, landslide, hail,vermin, insects or act of God

12. Ionising radiation orcontamination by radioactivityfrom any nuclear fuel, or fromany nuclear waste from burningof nuclear fuel, or theradioactive, toxic, explosive orother hazardous properties ofany explosive nuclear assemblyor nuclear component thereof orPressure waves from aircraft orother aerial devices travelling atsupersonic speeds

13. Claims arising out of the misuseof a solvent or solvents byinhalation

14. Notwithstanding any provision tothe contrary within the insuranceor any endorsement thereto weshall not be liable in respect ofliability loss damage cost orexpense of whatsoever naturedirectly or indirectly caused by,resulting from or in connectionwith any of the followingregardless of any other cause orevent contributing concurrently orin any other sequence to the loss

(i) war invasion, acts of foreignenemies, hostilities, or warlikeoperations (whether war be

declared or not), civil war,mutiny, civil commotionassuming the proportions of oramounting to a popularuprising, military rising,insurrection, rebellion,revolution, military or usurpedpower, martial law, confiscationor nationalisation or requisitionby or under the order of anyGovernment or public or localauthority

(ii) any act of terrorism – meansan act, including but not limitedto the use of force or violenceand/or the threat thereof, ofany person or group(s) ofpersons, whether acting aloneor on behalf of or in connectionwith any organisation(s) orgovernment(s), committed forpolitical, religious, ideologicalor other purposes including theintention to influence anygovernment and/or to put thepublic, or in any section of thepublic, in fear

15. Any car rental agreementexceeding 31 consecutive daysfor Europe cover or any carrental agreement exceeding60 consecutive days forWorldwide cover.

16. The Insurer shall not bedeemed to provide cover andthe Insurer shall not be liableto pay any claim or provideany benefit hereunder to theextent that the provision of such

cover, payment of such claimor provision of such benefitwould expose the Insurer, itsparent company or its ultimatecontrolling entity to anysanction, prohibition orrestriction under UnitedNations resolutions or the tradeor economic sanctions, laws orregulations of the EuropeanUnion or the United States ofAmerica.

Section 6 - PolicyConditions1. You must be a resident of theRepublic of Ireland and at least21 years of age

2. Unless we have agreed otherwisewith you, Irish Law and thedecisions of the Irish Courts willgovern this insurance

3. This insurance may only bealtered, varied or its conditionsrelaxed, or premiums changed byone of our authorised officials,giving you 30 days notice inwriting to your last known addressor via your insurance intermediary

4. This insurance is non-transferable5. Cover excludes costs or paymentsrecoverable from any party, underthe terms of any other insurance,including but not limited to yourhousehold or motor insurance,unless agreed by us, other than

section 4 (Personal Accident)6. Any dispute regarding the terms ofthis contract including anyquestion regarding its existence,validity or termination will bereferred to and resolved byarbitration in the Republic ofIreland in accordance with theArbitration Laws of the Republicof Ireland during the term of thiscontract

7. The benefits detailed in thispolicy in respect of the rental carare only payable to you and anyclaim may only be presented byyou

8. If you or anyone acting on yourbehalf makes a claim under thispolicy and know the claim is falseor fraudulent in any way, thecover is void, the claim will not bepaid and all monies received byyou or your representatives, mustbe immediately repaid to us

9. The cover under this policy isbased on information you havegiven us and confirmed on yourschedule. You must tell us assoon as possible if any of thisinformation changes, as yourcover may be affected and maybe invalidated in the event of aclaim

10. In the event that a third party isdeemed liable for part or all ofany claim, we may exercise ourright of subrogation. You shall, atour request and our expense,agree to and permit us to dosuch acts and things as may be

necessary or reasonably requiredfor the purpose of exercising thisright. You will take no action ormake any agreements that mayweaken or remove our rightsunder this clause without ourprior written permission. We willpay any costs or expensesinvolved in exercising our right ofsubrogation

11. The observance by you of theterms, conditions andendorsements of this policy asfar as they relate to anything tobe done or complied with by youwill be a condition precedent toany liability by us

Section 7 – How weuse personalinformationAIG Europe S.A. is committed toprotecting the privacy of customers,claimants and other business contacts.

“Personal Information” identifies andrelates to you or other individuals (e.g.your partner or other members of yourfamily). If you provide PersonalInformation about another individual,you must (unless we agree otherwise)inform the individual about the contentof this notice and our Privacy Policy andobtain their permission (where possible)for sharing of their Personal Informationwith us.

The types of Personal Informationwe may collect and why –Depending on our relationship withyou, Personal Information collectedmay include: contact information,financial information and accountdetails, credit reference and scoringinformation, sensitive informationabout health or medical conditions(collected with your consent whererequired by applicable law) as well asother Personal Information providedby you or that we obtain inconnection with our relationship withyou. Personal Information may beused for the following purposes:

• Insurance administration, e.g.communications, claimsprocessing and payment

• Make assessments and decisionsabout the provision and terms ofinsurance and settlement ofclaims

Sharing of Personal Information -For the above purposes PersonalInformation may be shared with ourgroup companies and third parties(such as brokers and other insurancedistribution parties, insurers andreinsurers, credit reference agencies,healthcare professionals and otherservice providers). PersonalInformation will be shared with otherthird parties (including governmentauthorities) if required by laws orregulations. Personal Information(including details of injuries) may berecorded on claims registers sharedwith other insurers. We are required toregister all third party claims forcompensation relating to bodilyinjury to workers’ compensationboards. We may search these registersto prevent, detect and investigatefraud or to validate your claimshistory or that of any other person orproperty likely to be involved in thepolicy or claim. Personal Informationmay be shared with prospectivepurchasers and purchasers, andtransferred upon a sale of ourcompany or transfer of businessassets.

International transfer - Due to theglobal nature of our business,Personal Information may betransferred to parties located in othercountries (including the United States,

Section 8 – CoolingOff Period andCancellation

Cooling Off periodIf this cover does not meet yourneeds, you may return this policy andschedule to us within 14 days of thestart date of cover shown in theoriginal schedule or the day, onwhich you receive this policy andschedule, whichever is the later

If you cancel this policy within thecooling-off period and there are noclaims, you will receive a full refund inpremium including anyadministration charge. However, ifthere has been a claim, we will notrefund any part of the premium orany administration fee

CancellationYou can cancel this policy at any timeafter the cooling-off period by givingus notice in writing to AIG EuropeS.A., 30 North Wall Quay,International Financial ServicesCentre, Dublin 1 or by e-mail [email protected]. If you cancel this policyafter the cooling-off period, we willnot refund any premium for theremainder of the policy term. If thispolicy is cancelled and the premium

is paid by direct debit, you must tellyour chosen bank, building society orfinancial institution to stop makingpayments

If we cancel this policy we will giveyou 7 days notice in writing and wewill return to you the unused portionof the premium

This insurance will automaticallycancel: n if the premium is not paid. n if you submit a claim knowing

it to be false, fraudulent or amisrepresentation

Section 9 - What todo in the Event of aClaimShould you wish to claim under thispolicy you should call AIG ClaimsDepartment as soon as possible andno later than 31 days after theincurred loss. You must give us anyinformation or help that we ask for.You must not settle, reject, negotiateor agree to pay any claim without ourwritten permission. Full details of howto claim are set out below

3. A copy of your Charge Receipt (ifseparate from the RentalAgreement)

4. If the incident by law requires theattendance of the Police, we willrequire a copy of the PoliceReport

5. Renter's copy of the rentalcompany's accident damagereport

6. Invoices / receipts / otherdocuments confirming the amountyou have paid in respect ofAccident / Damage / Loss etc.for which the Vehicle RentalCompany holds you responsible

7. A copy of your credit cardstatement showing payment of the

damages claimed8. A copy of the driving licence ofthe person driving the rentedvehicle involved in the accident(the driver)

9. The name and address of yourbank together with the sort codeand account details. This willfacilitate reimbursement as weprefer to make the paymentdirectly to your bank

10. Medical certification and/or adeath certificate in respect of anyclaims under Section 4, PersonalAccident

You should read the abovecarefully as it is necessary tocomply with the conditions of thispolicy. Failure to abide by theconditions of this policy, mayinvalidate your claim.
