The Nordic Ecolabel is a world-leading Ecolabel with stringent environmental and climate criteria for65 product groups.

It’s purpose is to provide consumers with a tool (the Nordic Ecolabel logo) to help them choose the best,from an environmental standpoint, products on the market.

Criteria are developed by using a life-cycle analysis. That means that the products are judged onenvironmental effects from several aspects: Energy and water usage, kinds of chemicals used, recycling andreuse of waste products. The Nordic Ecolabel is a Type 1 ecolabel.
