Introduction
The mission of Houston Methodist Hospital isto provide high quality, cost-effective healthcare that delivers the best value to the peoplewe serve in a spiritual environment of caringin association with internationally recognizedteaching and research. The continued growthand rapid success of the Cardiac MRDepartment has been in part due to theintegration of vast imaging backgrounds,ranging from: CT, MR, Echocardiography, X-rayand general Ultrasound technologist meldedto form our CMRI Team. The next generationon SCMR CMRI technologists will benefit frommulti-modality expertise!
At Houston Methodist, under Dr. Dipan Shah’s direction, the Cardiac MR Department has flourished. Currently HMH has 2 dedicated magnets for clinical imaging and another magnet dedicated to research and development. The chart shows rapid growth of the CMRI department after 2008, when Cardiology took over the CMR scans. This continued success has paved the way for a 3rd clinical magnet to be ready February of 2017.
