Dr. Erin Silva, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology at UW-Madison, and, Organic and Sustainable Cropping Systems Specialist for UW Extension, will be presenting on the principles and practices inherent to organic vegetable production, especially as it relates to the home gardener.
During her seminar, Dr. Silva will address: Choosing the right types and varieties of vegetables. Direct seeding versus transplants. Nutrient management in the organic garden. Organic pest and weed management practices.
