The Six Cs of Care Teams Caring Centering Connecting Coordinating Compassion Communication Caring Caring enough to Share Parker Sparrow Caring Four Types of People: 1. Those who ARE caregivers, 2. Those who HAVE BEEN caregivers, 3. Those who WILL BE caregivers, and 4. Those who WILL NEED caregivers. Types of Caregivers Informal / Lay / Family Formal / Professional Volunteer (formal or informal) Dual Elements of Caring KnowledgePatienceHonestyTrustHumilityHopeCourage Stages of Grief DenialAngerBargainingDepressionAcceptance Feel What You Feel When Youre Feeling It. Caring Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket-safe, dark, motionless, airless-it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. The Four Loves by C.S. Lewis Centering Sharing the Care is for Everybody Erica Belton Quote: Andrew Murrays The Secret of Adoration: Take time. Give God time to reveal Himself to you. Give yourself time to be silent and quiet before Him, waiting to receive, through the Spirit, the assurance of His presence with you, His power working in you. Take time to read His word as in His presence, that from it you may know what He asks of you and what He promises you. Let the Word create around you, create within you a holy atmosphere, a holy heavenly light, in which your soul will be refreshed and strengthened for the work of daily life.
