Memory CareCERTIFIED SPECIAL NEEDS ASSITED LIVING RESIDENCE (SNALR)

• This is an extraordinary program that helps memory-impaired residents maintain dignity, ability and independence.

• Secure and specially designed to create a serene, comforting environment.

• Daytime and evening activities encourage creativity and contribute to a sense of calm.

• Specialized certified dementia training from the Alzheimer’s Association give staff the confidence to address behavior changes related to dementia.

• Family training and support group programs help everyone adjust to the changes resulting from Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia.

Enhanced Assisted LivingENHANCED ASSISTED LIVING RESIDENCE (EALR)

• Ability to Age in Place in your own private apartment.

• Aging in Place allows staff to assist with functional needs that cannot be managed in traditional assisted living. This includes assistance with walking, getting in and out of bed or a chair, assistance with medical equipment or help managing incontinence.

Heathwood is licensed by the NYS Department of Health and can provide as much or as little care that is needed. This includes activities of daily living, medication management, weekly housekeeping, personal laundry and scheduled transportation.
