SHIPPING & WAREHOUSING

MERCHANDISING & BRAND MANAGEMENTWHAT IS IT?Our Brand team sets the strategic direction of our brands. Merchandising selects merchandise for assigned product categories and brands based on analysis, past trends, customer and current market data. They present product ideas and page concepts for final product selection. Merchants may work with our Product Design team to create and further develop new design ideas for various lines. A few roles within this area include: • Merchandising Manager • Brand Director • Marketing Manager • Social Media Specialist

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?We need visionary thinkers to make product selections that are desirable to our customers. Successful team members will have an eye for style, design, and quality of goods. Product Designers typically have a 4 year degree in Industrial Design. Brand and Merchandising team members typically have a 2 or 4 year degree in Retail Merchandising and Management, Marketing or Business. In addition, we look for: • Ability to conceive and create innovative thinking and ideas • Strong internal customer service skills required to accomplish tasks • Someone who is able to work well in teams/groups

WHAT IS IT?Our Operations team spans across 3 states and is housed within 5 full-service distribution centers. Their work centers on achieving prescribed company objectives in regard to productivity, customer service, safety, and quality assurance. A few of these roles are: • Forklift Operator • Inventory Coordinator • Order Picker & Packer • Shipping & Receiving Supervisor • Warehousing Manager

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?We need self-motivated individuals with experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments. We require prior heavy machinery experience for many of our roles involving machine operation (forklift operators). Leaders within Operations typically have a 2 or 4 year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Product or Operation Management, or Industrial Technology Management. In addition, we look for: • Above average written and oral communication skills • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize work assignments in a fluid environment • The ability to work overtime as needed and on a regular basis during peak season

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

CREATIVE MARKETING SERVICES

WHAT IS IT?The IT department is responsible for the identification, analysis, evaluation, life-cycle management, and adoption of technologies that support business requirements. This team works closely with all areas of the company to ensure that all programs and systems are technically sound and performing efficiently. Roles within IT include, but are not limited to: • Cloud Engineering • Network Analyst • Project Management • Programmer Analyst • Client Support Technician • IT Security Analyst

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?Members of our IT department often possess 2 or 4 year degrees in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field. All IT positions rely heavily on interactions with several departments, so successful team members must also possess solid communication and customer service skills. In addition, we look for: • Knowledge of Operating Systems and Programming • Experience with Mobile and JavaScript technologies • Strong problem solving ability

Our Creative Marketing Services (CMS) team works collaboratively with our Catalog Managers, Art Directors, Web and Graphic Designers, Copywriters, and Product Merchandisers to consistently communicate each catalog’s strategic goals and brand message through print catalogs and e-commerce sites. Their work centers on design strategy for catalogs, websites, marketing emails, and social media sites. Roles within CMS include, but are not limited to: • Copywriters • Production Artists • Graphic & Web Designers • Art Directors • Catalog Project Managers

WHAT IS IT?

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?We need motivated individuals with exceptional design creativity. Successful team members will be able to communicate well both verbally and visually. Ideally, you’ll have a 2 or 4 year degree in Commercial Art, Graphic Design, Web Development, Communication, Journalism, or related majors. In addition, we look for: • Experience working collaboratively in a high performance, high production environment • Proven ability to write, proof, and edit organized copy • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver) • Excellent organizational skills

APPAREL TECHNICAL DESIGN

DATA SCIENCEWHAT IS IT?Data science is a multidisciplinary field that uses statistics, mathematics, information and computer science to assist business units across the organization in making effective decisions. This field encompasses many areas of analytical skills and statistical methods, including database struc-tures, table building, reporting, data visualization and predictive modeling. A few roles within our Data Science & Business Analytics team include: • Marketing Data Manager • E-Commerce Analyst • Data Scientist • Credit Compliance Consultant

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?Members of our Data Science and Business Analytics team are sharp, disciplined, and highly quantitative individuals who have a passion for developing solutions. They typically hold a 4-year degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or a related field. In addition, we look for the following skills and qualities: • Ability to present data and ideas confidently and clearly to those in different areas of the business • Solid grasp of probability, statistical and mathematical modeling with analytical problem-solving ability • Willingness to help others and ability to cultivate an environment of teamwork

WHAT IS IT?Technical Designers work as a liaison between Design and Production. They are essentially the quality engineers of fashion. Once a garment has been designed, they work with factories to figure out how to make it on a mass scale. Our Technical Designers work to ensure that the fabrics used are the correct weight, color, texture and our customers’ clothes fit the way they should. A few roles within Apparel TD include: • Apparel Technologist • Technical Designer Manager • Associate Technical Designer • Director of Quality Assurance & Technical Design • Assistant Specification Assistant

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?Members of our apparel Technical Design and Quality Assurance team typically hold a 2 or 4-year degree in Apparel Design, or a related manufac-turing field. In addition we look for the following skills and qualities: • Cross-functional and clear communication skills • Problem-solving skills to address production issues • Strong math and excel skills • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, & PLM software

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

AVIATION

WHAT IS IT?This team is responsible for getting the right product into the best place, in the correct quantity, and at the right time – from raw materials to consumer purchase, in the most streamlined and cost-effective way possible. Many departments play a part in the global supply chain including: • Planning & Forecasting • Inventory & Production Management • Product Development & Sourcing • Quality Assurance

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?Competitive pressures and sophisticated customers demand innovative solutions so the best performers in this area are never satisfied with ‘good enough’. To work in supply chain management you’ll need effective prob-lem-solving skills, a solid understanding of business processes and analytics. People typically need the following to excel in these roles: • 4 year degree in Supply Chain Management, Retail, Business, or related field • The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment • Excellent communication & negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships and work teams (knowing multiple languages is a huge bonus!) • A global/ big-picture perspective

Most people think of pilots when they hear about aviation jobs. While their jobs are critical, they are only a part of what keeps our Aviation business aflight. In addition to the private jet air charters, we offer jet management safety, maintenance, and services to other flight departments. A few roles with our SC Aviation crew include: • Director of Operations • Avionics Mechanic • Chief Pilot • Safety Director • Aircraft Detailer • Dispatcher/Scheduler

Additional degree, train-ing, or license requirements vary by role. All roles require schedule flexibil-ity.

BAKERY

PACKAGING

WHAT IS IT?The Bakery Production Operations of The Swiss Colony, Inc. coordinates and directs activities so that approved products are manufactured on-schedule and within desired quality and cost standards. Team members research and develop new confectionery products and concepts and research ways to improve recipes and overall quality of food. Roles within the Bakery include, but are not limited to: • Maintenance Technician • Sanitation Worker • Warehouse Worker • Bakers • Continuous Improvement Engineers • Bakers Helper • Manager & Supervisor

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?We need team members who possess the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Leaders within the Bakery will have knowledge and practical understanding of the principles of Food Science and Sanitation as related to troubleshooting problems in the Bakery & Confectionery Industry. Line Operators, and Warehouse workers typically possess a high school education and strong communication skills.

WHAT IS IT?Our Packaging Engineers develop and implement packaging guidelines which are small parcel carrier efficient, customer friendly, and cost effective. They perform packaging tests on products identified as possible high damage or as having questionable vendor packaging. Roles within Packaging Engineering include, but are not limited to: • System Support Technician • Packaging Engineer • Manager of Non-Food and Food Packaging

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

Members of our Packaging Engineering department typically hold a 4 year degree in Packaging Technology/Engineering. In addition, we look for: • Knowledge of packaging principles to ensure packaging integrity • Experience with Packaging Design & Evaluation to test all packaging concepts

CO-OP PROGRAM

Time-frame: Year-round When to Apply: January – April Year in School: High School Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, or College Freshman, Sophomores

This program will allow students to gain experience in a specific field at Colony Brands, Inc. by working in a selected department part-time throughout the school year. Scholarships are awarded upon successfulcompletion of the program.

EXPLORATION & CO-OP PROGRAMS

CAREER EXPLORATION PROGRAM

Time-frame: June – August When to Apply: January – April Year in School: High School Juniors & Seniors or College Freshmen, Sophomores

This program explores an array of careers at Colony Brands, Inc. Career Days are designed for students to job shadow different fields of work and participate in hands-on learning activities one day per week.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

• Students will work in Production, Contact Center, Bakery or Distribution four days per week. • One day per week will be spent in different departments across the company such as Benefits, Human Resources, Community Relations, Marketing, Creative Marketing Services, Accounting, Purchasing, Internet/E-Commerce, and Inventory Management. • Students will job shadow employees in different departments to gain a better understanding of that department and the jobs associated with that field. • You must be a Junior or Senior High School student or a Freshman or Sophomore in college to apply. • You must be at least 16 years of age. • Scholarships are awarded upon successful completion of the program.

Our program provides college students and recent college grads with valuable work experience, the chance to establish business relationships, and the opportunity to identify long-term career options. We know that their long-term success depends on more than training relative to a specific major or job func-tion, so we also offer all Interns: Additional training on topics that range from business communication to emotional intelligence Service opportunities to give back to local communities Social events to help them meet and have fun with their colleagues
