A five-day leadership training program for high school students, focusing on:

Geriatric Care

Understand Aging (Psychological & Physiological)

Aging Simulation Safe Transfer Skills (taught by a Physiotherapist)

Personal & Professional Skills

Communication & Team Building Leadership Training

(with St. John’s Ambulance Cadets)

Self-Care Workshop (Self-defense & Yoga) Healthy Cooking & Nutrition

(with a Registered Dietitian) First Aid/CPR Certificate Course

(certified by St. John Ambulance)

Community Involvement & Program Development

Program Development (Plan & lead recreation activities for seniors)

Volunteer in different service departments (Earn Community Service Hours)

Who Grade 9 to Grade 12 Students

When July 22-26, 2019 or August 12-16, 2019 9:30am — 4:30pm

耆暉會青年義工部將為高中學生舉辦為期五天的

青年義工領袖訓練營:

關愛長者，接觸長者服務

識老齡化(生理及心理的轉變)

老齡化模擬活動

安全幫扶技巧(由物理治療師講解)

個人及專業技能

溝通技巧與團體建設

領導培訓 (與聖約翰救傷隊學員)

自衛術工作坊及瑜伽減壓運動

健康烹飪工作坊(由註冊營養師教導)

急救證書課程

參與長者活動企劃及義工服務

活動規劃(為成人日間中心或康復護理中心的長者設計及帶領團體活動)

安排到不同部門參與義工服務 (你可記錄社區服務時數)

招收對象 九至十二年級學生

活動時間 2019 年 7 月 22 日 至 26 日 或 2019 年 8 月 12 日 至 16 日 早上 9 時 30 分至下午 4 時 30 分

活動地點 耆暉會一站式綜合服務中心 300 Silver Star Blvd. Scarborough

活動費用 $200 (含聖約翰急救證書學費$120 及午餐費)
