My Fellow Lot Owners:
It’s hard to believe, but we’re rounding the corner towards the end of yet another Carefree summer.
Even throughout this ‘summer that forgot to show up’, I am constantly impressed by the ability of our
Carefree Family to enjoy and celebrate what we have. Smiles and laughs are always in abundance,
regardless of the pranks Mother Nature seems to be pulling! We are blessed to be surrounded by
such a positive community.
Another successful Halloween brought loads of ghouls and goblins all around the park, none seeming
bothered by the chilly weather. Thanks to everyone for making this such an enjoyable event for our
kiddos.
Saturday’s exciting family dance and adult dance provided opportunity for everyone to bust a move
and warm up following the chill of late October. All reports indicate that the band, El Royale, had as
much or more fun than the residents. Nailed it, again, social crew!
Sincere thanks to the Palsky family for bringing faith and gratitude to our community at the final Church
service of the summer. What a lovely example of what family should be!
The Movie in Marina Park that had to be cancelled last Friday, has been cancelled for this year, due to
the weather.
The annual Horseshoe Tournament will take place on Saturday, and promises to be a great time of
healthy competition steeped in tradition. Best of luck to all the registered teams!
If you have signed up to tap into your creative juices with the Wood Sign event, it will get started at 1
p.m. on Saturday. I’m looking forward to seeing all the new bling around the park following this after-
noon of creating.
Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable weekend.

fore long we will all be packing up
our trailers for another year.
Instead of hauling all that unused
food back home... why not donate
it to a good cause? A Donation Bin

from the last week of August until the Thanks-
giving weekend. All non-perishable food items
are welcome!

A FEW REMINDERS ABOUT
MARINA ETIQUETTE
Fishing from the docks or off the shores of the marina
is NOT allowed. It is too easy to snag a boat cover or
an innocent passerby.
NO fireworks are allowed in the marina either by
members or non-members.
There is absolutely zero tolerance for smoking on the
docks.
Exiting watercrafts have the right of way—while within
the marina, there is to be no wake or sail. Watercraft
speed will not exceed idle speed.
BEEeeee a good neighbour
The next time you go down to your boat, take a minute to check the following:
Is your boat secured in such a way that the bow does not extend onto the main dock? This could
be detrimental to small children and people walking by, carrying, inflatables and other goodies
for their day on the water.
Is your boat secured tight enough so as not to cause interference with your neighbour’s boat?
Someone clearly had some anger issues and chose
to take it out on our upstairs men’s washroom last
Saturday, August 10th between noon and 2:00 p.m.
If you have any information, please let us know.
