2. Spectra Energy Partners has decided to join in the
development of the PennEast Pipeline. The proposedinterstate
natural gas pipeline will help transport natural gas to help meet
the growing energy demand in partsof New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Spectra will become the sixth member of the PennEast Pipeline
Company, LLC. It joins NJR PipelineCompany; AGL Resources; PSEG
Power LLC; UGI Energy Services (UGIES); and South Jersey
Industries.Spectra and PSEG Power each hold a 10% interest in
PennEast; the remaining ownership is from membercompanies that each
have a 20% interest. UGIES will serve as the project manager for
the development andplan to operate the pipeline. The 36-inch
PennEast Pipeline, which spans 108-miles will transport 1 Bcf/d of
natural gas. It will span fromDallas, Luzerne County, in
northeastern Pennsylvania, to Transcos pipeline interconnect
located inPennington, Mercer County, NJ. PennEast has began the
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission pre-filing process and they
plan to file anapplication in the third quarter 2015. Depending on
regulatory approval, PennEast anticipates a November2017
start-up.
