In partnership with the Hungarian Baptist Aid, Carmella has been en- dorsed to serve as a school chaplain. She will begin her service in the Hungary by studying the Hungarian language and culture and building relationships in preparation for her future ministry in the classroom and in afterschool programs, supporting those who desire to improve their conversational English skills. Her ministry will offer a listening pres- ence, friendship and Christian disci- pleship and fellowship to students, families and faculty. She will also participate in outreach ministries that respond to vital needs in their communities. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. 1 PETER 3:15 Carmella Jones | Hungary Email: [email protected] Impact Areas: Evangelism, Discipleship and Education T he “gift of English” is an open door for relationship and friendship evangelism in Hungary. team, have I ever visited the White House—but the best were always related to food. What is your favorite food? These conversations always lead to the heart and to comments about parents, grandparents and times with family. At the vocational school I visited, a teacher and students were fully en-gaged in creating food masterpieces.

They were not expecting guest. But, before long, a spread of dishes had been placed before us. These young people had limited English-speak-ing skills but clearly understood the thumbs-up sign offered by their foreign guest, and we were rewarded with very broad smiles!
