EMPOWERMENT

Lahore Business School (LBS) of The University of Lahore (UOL) organized a Traditional Cultural Eve in collaboration with Student Representative Office (SRO). The event was attended by chief guest and more than a thousand viewers. The school in Lahore is known

for its specialization in the study of miniature painting and for its role in bringing this genre to a larger international audience. The artists present-ed here are part of an emerg-ing school that layers tradition-al forms with modern themes. The wide range of works

initially under consideration had tremendous aesthetic appeal. Of the many extraordi-nary artists considered, the works presented by Fasiullah Ahsan, Bushra Chaudry and Talha Rathore offer a cohesive grouping. Exquisitely crafted, these works combine the direct influences of traditional arts with contemporary life.

“RHYTHM OF LIFE”

University of South Asia is a philosophy,a concept, and an ideology that revolves

around the phenomenon of “Change for the Better.”

www.usa.edu.pk

Extra-curricular activities are the oxygen for students in the space of academia. They provide them room for thinking out of the box and making social circles, connecting with people that they have never talked with before. Moreover, they help the stress go away and freshen up the bored and exhausted brains. So when they come back to studies with fresh mind, they perform well because now they feel balanced with life both inside and outside the academic circle. Same routine and workload frustrates the students and they lose their focus and determination due to boredom. Universities nowadays arrange multiple activities including

concerts, competitions, exhibitions, games and events that allow their students to get familiar with each other. Furthermore, they provide the experiences like event management, sports-man spirit, managing resources, overcoming hurdles, making arrangements, creating sense of responsibility, etc. Good experiences with companies that sponsor such events or be a part of it, help the students to get to know the professional side of their learning too. University of South Asia has also done efforts to freshen up the minds of their students that have been loaded with burden of syllabus.

Mr. Abrar ul Haq, the King of Bhangra, the pioneer of introducing the word “Billo” in music industry, performed in our event “Rhythm of Life”.
