Carolyn Merchant is a professor of environmental history, philosophy, and ethics in the Department of Conservation and Resource Studios at the University of California at Berkeley. She is the author of numerous publications on feminism and the environment, including The Death of Nature: Women, Ecology and the Scientific Revolution and Ecological revolution.
