Carona Virus is something that makes you sick. It is very small.
You can’t see it unless you have a microscope!
If someone has Carona Virus and coughs— their cough with the virus might go on to your face…
..
...then it could get Carona Virus inside you too!
If you touch something that has the Carona Virus on it, and then you touch your nose, or eyes, or mouth...
…then Carona Virus could get into your body!
If you do get Carona Virus inside you, you will feel really yucky. You will feel very hot, you will cough a lot and you could find it hard to breathe.
If you are weak or old you might even die from Carona Virus! Most of us are not old or weak…. BUT it is still good to be very careful.
That is why …. We have to remember to wash our hands to: ABC or Twinkle,Twinkle or Incy Wincy Spider, with soap and warm water and dry them. This is long enough to make our hands nice and clean!
This will wash all the Carona Virus off our hands.
Before you eat, or touch your

Because we do not want the Carona Virus to spread around
N.Z.,
everyone in N.Z., is now staying at home for at least
four weeks.
This will help to stop people from passing it from one person, to the next person. We can not go near anyone who has Carona Virus when we stay at home.
If we are near anybody who is not from our house, we must stay at least two metres away from them.

This means if they have Carona Virus and they cough, they are too far away for it to get on to your face.

BUT… We still have to always remember to wash our hands to: ABC or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or Incy Wincy Spider.
This is long enough to make our hands really clean!
That is why we are staying at home. That is why, when we go for a walk we stay two metres away from other people.
If we do this we keep Carona Virus from getting inside the people in our house.
Because the people in our house do not have Carona Virus we CAN get closer than two metres ! We can still sit close to each other. We can even, hug each other too if we want to, because we are safe from Carona Virus.
School will not be available for at least 4 weeks.
So, we will be doing some school work at home!
But we can also have fun together,
exercise and help each other.
It will be a long time to be at home, so we have to be kind to each other too! We are all going to help get rid of Carona Virus in NZ when we ... stay at home!
