BLUE RIBBON™ FLOOR MACHINE PAD SELECTIONFloor pads are manufactured from synthetic and natural fi bers. The synthetic fi bers used in fl oor pads are nylon and polyester. Natural-fi ber pads are made of hair fi bers blended with synthetic fi bers. As the pads are being manufactured, a bonding agent is applied to the fi ber. Minerals, added during the manufacturing process, attach to these coated fi bers, giving the pad its abrasive character. The degree of abrasiveness desired is achieved by adding more or less of different size minerals. The pad selection guide listed below features colors used to identify pads. These colors graduate from the most abrasive pad (black - darkest color) to the least abrasive pad (white - lightest color). If you have a job that requires stripping, you would choose a black pad. If you need to polish a fl oor, a light colored pad would be recommended. While the quality of fl oor pads vary from one manufacturer to the next, you can be assured that Blue Ribbon pads are made from the fi nest materials available. Our pads are economical, long lasting and extremely durable. Blue Ribbon™ pads have a 3" center hole punch-out plug (bolt hole for high speed machines also available) with a thickness of approximately 1".
