7 Incremental Crop yield (q/ac) against traditional
Traditional method 18Qntl per acre(45Qntl per Ha.)SRI method 25 Qntl per acre (62.5 Qntl per Ha.)
Overall impact of the Programme
Impact on cropping pattern:
High yield and high breed paddy is being multiplied 25% to 50% as per the land variety (70
Qntl. Per Hactor)
Indigenous varieties paddy is being multiplied to 20% to 35% as per the land variety (60
Qntl.per Hactor)
Although the paddy production is decreasing in indigenous variety but it compensates
through additional production of large scale straw used for roofing and fodder purpose.
Organic SRI does not affect the land & environment.
SRI method is also applicable to other crops like (Ragi, wheet, vegetable & others)
Impact on socio-economic status of the beneficiaries:
Food security among the marginal and small farmers have been increased
(Badakambilo G.P)
The land less people through share cropping are self sufficient in food arrangement and
sale the additional paddy through which they save Rs.10,000/-to Rs. 12,000/-per year out
of 2 to 3 acres of land.
The tribal G.P Badakambilo is able to send their eligible children to high school which is
opened in the year 2011-12 .
Change is visualized in farmers housing structures.

Skilled labour
Lack of appropriate mechanism in marking before transplantation in different
environment.
Irregular monsoon
Govt.faulty policy
Weeding
Cattle population
Marketing
Learning's Less investment and more production. Appropriate technology for weed control. Application of inorganic is reducing. Harvestation is intensified. Pest insect/rat control is easy.SRI technology is more appropriate for other crops (Ragi, vegetables, pulses etc).
Mass awareness on SRI. Sponsorship to organic SRI. Market linkage to organic SRI paddy. Encourage learning system among partners.
