Are The Seniors Ready? The 2004 graduation isjust around the corner. The seniors

are done. No more high school. IT'S OVER!!! It's time tosay. good bye and good luck to all of Carrizozo's 2004seniors.

This is a time of nervousness. happiness. fear. and anxiety. It"s time for the senior class to move on to college. military.working. marriage. or whatever else they decide to do withthe rest of their "ves. The "real world" is approaching fast, and the seniors will soon see what it is to livelife on their own. They will not have any more school rulesto follow nor will they have parents to tell them what to doand how to live.

But are all the seniors ready to be on their own, in theworld outside of Carrizozo? Jessica Swift. a senior, said. ""Iam ready for the real world. especially after what I havebeen through in my life already. I am really undecided aboutwhat I am going to do after high-school though." JustineBeltran, another senior. said. "I'm so happy school is over.I might miss it later on but probably not. I am ready forcollege. and yes, I am ready to get out on Jj own."

Whether or not the seniors are ready, the time is here.• There wille no more "Go get a tardy slip" or "Why! Why!"

(Mrs. Ball). or "This isn'. the love hoat" (Coach Holland). No more "That's my name. Science is the game. Wannaplay?" (Dr. Hawk). "Orag out your books" (Mr. Corley). or"Get that food out of my building.':· (Mrs. Sambrano).Thiswill be the last year that the seniors will ever hear thosewords again. .

Goodbye and good luck to the class of2004. Congratulations!!!!

Amanda Lynne Hurley
