Primary Division Enrichment ClassesFALL 2013-2014
Spanish Enrichment Gr. KSpanish Enrichment will involve playing games, singing songs, reading books and a number of other activities all designed to help the students increase their Spanish vocabulary in a fun context. Students will also explore elements of culture in different countries where Spanish is spoken. Grade K 3:15-4:15 Tuesdays Sept 3- Oct 22 (8 weeks) Cost: $109
Chinese Language & Culture: Gr. KStudents will enjoy being exposed to the Chinese culture through literature, poetry, calligraphy, dance and language. Ms. Yi Ju Huang (Kelly) will be the instructor for this class.

Yoga for Kids: Gr. K Come explore the Magical Benefits of Yoga in a Fun Environment. The Yoga Fairy teaches yoga to children through music, games and books. Studies show that practicing balance and working on yoga poses can improve kid’s ability to focus and concentrate, which can help them achieve academic and social success. Yoga can also help kids develop self confidence and calmness, which can help them deal with problems or difficult emotions. Each class is uniquely designed to focus on

Tiny Tots Tennis: Gr. K-1Two Sessions: Choose Monday or Wednesday or both. Teaches the basic skills of tennis with exercises in hand-eye coordination and movement games. This class uses larger foam balls, lower nets and smaller courts. All tennis offerings will be taught by our Head Varsity Tennis Coach who is a USPTA certified instructor: Moira Roush. Violin Strings Ensemble: (Grades 1, 2, 3, 4)Heather Bush has been teaching Enrichment Strings classes at Casady since 2005. She has been a Suzuki certified violin instructor since 1998. She enjoys teaching violin and viola, both traditional and Suzuki, in her private studio. Mad Science: DETECTIVE & SPIES (GRADES 1,2)Step into the shoes of a detective—children uncover the science involved in evidence gathering such as fingerprint and fiber sample analysis and the power of scientific observation. Look out 007—the Mad Science spy academy is in session! Children will have the opportunity to discover what it takes to be a spy. LEARNING WITH LEGO® BRICKS (GRADES 3, 4)Building Minds, LLC provides classes where students build interactive models with Lego® Bricks that demonstrate lessons in gears, levers, pulleys, wheels and axels. Students will also learn about the three main sources of energy - wind, water and solar, and will build models that demonstrate how air pressure (pneumatics) can make machines operate. The hands on learning is fun and educational. Through observation, reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking, students will learn key concepts while building teamwork and communication skills.Grades 3-4 3:15-4:30 Tuesdays Sept 3- Oct 22 (8 weeks) Cost: $169

Yoga for Kids (Grades 3&4) Children receive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, and coordination. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves. Doing yoga, children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that beautiful inner light that all children have to the surface. Class limit of 12. Students will need a yoga mat or a beach towel. Debate Club: Gr. 7-8Come find out what competitive policy debate is all about. Have an opportunity to compete in tournaments with other novice debaters from around the state in a fun, low-pressure environment. One debate competition is planned. Cyclone Express Transportation ServiceCasady School offers transportation to and from school, with seat-belt equipped air-conditioned busses driven by Casady faculty and staff. Please note that we may not be capable of handling every request. We will make every effort to provide a convenient option for transportation to and from school.
We Serve: North OKC (Nichols Hills, Quail Creek, etc.), Edmond Norman & surrounding areas: for our morning route only
EACH-WAY for full school year $ 65 per month
We determine if routes are feasible when requests are submitted. Seats are filled on a first-come basis. We have pay in full or pay plan options. Pay in full price is $650 each way for the full school year. Pay Plan requires a $ 65 deposit and $65 per month charge from September to May; credit card or e-check is billed automatically on the 5th of each month. There is a $25 registration fee. In cases of emergency, you may request special services for additional fees. We will try to find a ride for you. Please call for details immediately if you need this service.
