SWA Group: www.swagroup.com Cascadia New Community SWA provided master planning and submittals to Pierce County for development approvals for this 4700-acre new community outside Tacoma, Washington and that plan was approved based on the lower density market analysis of the time. Due to continued growth in the Seattle area, the density of the plan has dramatically increased. Phase One features a neo-traditional town center, a storm water management system which presented the opportunity for water to be incorporated with the parks and public open spaces across the site connected with extensive wooded corridors for equestrian, bicycle and pedestrian trails.
