Our Mission

• Offer services promoting the academic development and success of our students.

• Work with all academic departments to offer a variety of tutoring services.

• Provide study skill instruction and advice on learning strategies such as note-taking, test-taking, textbook reading; and time management.

• Coordinate the MERITS program for incoming freshman and manage AccessABILITY Resources for students with disabilities.

The Writing Center

• Offers assistance in all forms of writing and research.

• Writing assistance is offered by appointment to provide more individualized attention.

• Writing assistants are scheduled throughout each day including Sunday.

• To make an appointment for help with your writing, you would visit CASE and sign up for one.

AccessABILITY Resources Center

• Offers adaptive technology such as Premier To Go, Dragon Naturally speaking and LiveScribe pens, for students with a disability.

• A Telesensory magnifier, Pico handheld magnifier and the Zoomtext software program are available to support students with low vision.

• Extended time on tests and notetakers are also accommodations the center provides.

• To request services, students must self-identify with documentation to the Resources Center. See http://www.Cobleskill.edu/academics/disability-support/documentation-guidelines-add-asp or contact AR to find out what is required. IEP’s are helpful but NOT sufficient.
