CASE STUDY Luxury Travel SHARE YOUR IMAGES: #meganite Horizon Yacht, the 5th largest custom luxury yacht builder in the world, was seeking the perfect countertop for the interior and exterior of their 68 foot yacht. The yacht was desig- ned for high-end luxury, and needed to meet expectations of owners not only looking for style and attractive design, but also food hygiene, durability and low maintenance. The color of choice from Meganite’s expansive library was Mt. Carrara M007 from the Movement Series, a collection which was awarded a prestigious 2017 Good Design Award. The material offers a sophisticated, elegant marble look but also delivers a number of practical benefits. Meganite® is a nonporous material and allows for bonded seams which create smooth edges and seamless surfaces for food preparation areas, therefore resisting bacteria, mildew and mold growth. Owing to this innovation, Meganite® is NSF/ANSI Standard 51 certified for food contact, making it ideal for kitchen countertops and food preparation areas in the yacht. Durability and easiness to clean also make maintenance of the surfaces minimal for the owner.. The Movement Series can also be thermoformed to any shape, making it a versatile materials for the yacht’s range of design needs. The material is also GREENGUARD Certified® as low VOC-emitting and resistant to environmental pollutants, making it suitable for outdoor applica- tions, as well as interior. perfect countertop for the interior and exterior

of their 68 foot yacht. The yacht was desig-
