WHEN ARE WE GOING AND COMING BACK?

We are going from Melbourne to New York on Monday the 31st of May 2010 on the 6:00 flight to 6:30 to Los Angeles and it takes 12 and a half hours. We get back on the plane at Los Angeles at 9:00 and we get to New York at 5:15 and it takes 8 hours and 15 mins to get there. We come back on June 13th .Then we come back from New York to Sydney on the 18:55 flight to 7:25 when we get there. We fly from Sydney at 12:00 and get to Melbourne at 1:30. We are flying class economy. All together it costs $3333.76

Passports

Adults Child $208 $104We are getting one child passport for when

we go to New York. One passport costs $104.

One passport photo costs $13.95.So altogether it costs $117.95.

Hired Car

We are hiring a Hybrid Prius and it is green.

It is $69.40 per day and $1665.70 for the hole stay. It fits 11.9 gallons of gas.

International Driving Permit

We are getting an International driving permit for when we drive in our hire car in New York. It costs $31.50

Accommodation

We have booked our accommodation in the Soho Grand hotel in New York. We are going there for two weeks. All together it costs $7062. We are going from 31st of May to the 13th of June.

Drivers Licence

When we get a drivers licence your appointment costs $15,your test costs $19.50 and your drivers licences costs $19.90. All together it costs $54.40.

Days Menu For Breakfast: 2x$11- Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Tomato with cooked

eggs. For Lunch: 2x$11- Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce, Basil and

diced fresh Mozzarella. For Dinner: 1x$15- Flash Calamari, Shrimp and Zucchini

served with tomato sauce. 1x$15- Fettuccine with Bolognese. Dessert: 1x$9-Gelati flavoured sorbet lemon. 1x$10-Ciao Bella Tiramisu

Petrol We are getting 2 tanks of petrol for our

Toyota Prius hired car. It will cost us $70.30 in U.S Dollars and $85.42 Aus Dollars. For one tank it will cost $35.15 U.S. Dollars and $42.71 Aus Dollars.

Introduction

We think it is better to go on a holiday overseas because it is a one in a lifetime opportunity.

Firstly we think it is better to go overseas because you get a good experience out of it and you enjoy yourself.

Secondly you get to try new food and also you get to see sights you would not have seen before.

Finally you get to meet new people and see how they live, dress and how they travel around everywhere.

So that is why I think that an overseas holiday is better than having a holiday in Australia because every country is different with the cultures, food and sights. Also it is a good way to explore and you also get a good experience out of it. You also try loads and loads and loads of new things. Also in New York there will probably be a lot of gift shops so you will be able to bring back a few souveners. You could also get a few gifts for your friends and family.
