NL(uitsluitend getwijnd hout) is een speciaal natuurlijk weefselop basis van houtvezels.

Voor dit type garen worden houtvezels gebruikt die eenspeciale productiebehandeling ondergaan zodat ze kunnenworden gesponnen en vervolgens geweven.De houtpulp (of ruwe celstof) voor dit houtvezelweefsel isafkomstig van boomaanplantingen in Noord-Europa dievolgens een milieuvriendelijk systeem worden beheerd.

Eens de houtvezels verwerkt zijn tot garen (via een volledigchloorvrij proces), zijn ze volledig recycleerbaar. Ook dekleuren van de Havannaweefsels zijn natuurlijk. Dekleurpigmenten worden immers uit organische verbindin-gen gehaald die geen zware metalen bevatten. Aangeziendeze pigmenten in water oplosbaar zijn, worden ze"waterinkten" genoemd.

Het garen dankt zijn sterkte en duurzaamheid aan dekwaliteit van de houtvezels, die bijzonder lang en resistentzijn. Ook de slijtvastheid is zeer hoog: Havanna behaaltdezelfde resistentiescore als de beste natuurlijke vezels dieworden gebruikt voor meubelproductie.

We zijn op zoek naar nieuwe benaderingen voor alledaagsevoorwerpen in een poging om: in totale vrijdom en in har-monie met de natuur te leven, om ons wereldburgers tevoelen en om wat ons bevalt, te ontlenen aan andere cul-turen, terwijl we er ons altijd van bewust zijn dat detoekomst vandaag begint.

We ontwerpen meubels om een omgeving te creërenwaarin mensen op een andere manier kunnen omgaan metruimte, waar plaats is voor herinneringen en gevoelens. Wezijn ervan overtuigd dat New Weave loom Havanna, gew-even op een andere manier en ontworpen door CastleLoom, hiervoor het perfecte product is.

FR(à base fil de bois retors uniquement) est un type particuli-er de tissu naturel confectionné à partir de fibre de bois.

Ce type de fil est extrait de cellulose traitée selon unprocessus de fabrication spécial, qui le rend apte à être filé,puis tissé. La cellulose technique (ou pâte) qui sert à la fabrication decette fibre de bois naturelle provient de plantationsd’Europe septentrionale, suivant un programme de planta-tions écologiques.

Une fois la fibre de bois transformée en fil (ce procédé nedemande pas de chlore), elle est entièrement recyclable.Les coloris des tissus Havanna sont aussi parfaitementnaturels. Les pigments employés proviennent en effet decomposés organiques qui ne contiennent pas de métauxlourds. Le solvant employé pour ces pigments naturels estl’eau ; on parle donc d’”encre à l’eau”.

La solidité et la durabilité de ce fil dérivent des propriétésdes fibres du bois : celles-ci sont particulièrementdurables et résistantes. La résistance à l’usure estimpressionnante: le tissu Havanna obtient des scores derésistance équivalents à ceux des meilleures fibresnaturelles utilisées dans la fabrication de mobilier.

Nous concevons du mobilier pour construire un environ-nement où les gens peuvent créer de nouvelles relationsavec l’espace, et y faire vivre leurs souvenirs et leurs senti-ments. Nous sommes sûrs que le défi sera relevé par NewWeave loom Havanna, le bois tissé d’une nouvelle manière,conçu par Castle Loom.

EN(twisted wood only) is a special type of Natural cloth madeof wood fibre.

This kind of yarn derives from wood pulp which is processedfollowing a particular production method until it is ready tobe spun and then woven.The wood pulp ( or raw cellulose ) which is used to manu-facture this natural wood-fibre fabric is obtained from plan-tations that are grown in Northern Europe according to anenvironment-friendly programme.

Once the wood fibre has been changed into a yarn (chlorineis not used in this process) it can be entirely recycled.The colours of the Havanna fabrics are natural too. Thecolour pigments are indeed obtained from organic com-pounds which do not contain heavy metals. Water is the sol-vent used for these pigments, and that's why they are called"water inks".

The strength and durability of this yarn derive from thequalities of the wood fibres, which are particularly long andresistant. Resistance to tread is very high too: Havannamatches the resistance qualities of the best natural fibresused for the manufacture of furnishing accessories.
