The salvors will receive some remuneration for dispatching their craft, men and equipment. This is payable by the vessel’s P&I Club since SCOPIC was invoked in the LOF Salvage Contract. Cargo Tallow oil and Yellow Grease Type of Casualty Alision with a bridge Type of Claim General Average has been declared The Harbour Feature was reportedly moored in Portsmouth, USA, on 28 March 2013 when she broke from her moorings and swung around aliding with a road bridge crossing the bay. The vessel sustained damage to her port ballast tank and the roadway over the Sarah Long bridge was closed. Temporary repairs are required to the vessel to enable her to proceed safely to her discharging ports in the UK, Sweden and Finland. In view of the expenditure likely to be incurred, the vessel’s owners have declared General Average and Stichling Hahn Hilbrich Group have been instructed as Average Adjusters. They are also appointed in the collection of General Average securities from the consignees/ parties concerned with the cargo.
