Suspensiones - SuspensionsLas suspensiones cumplen la función de sujetar mecánicamente el conductor manteniéndolo aislado de la tierra y de otros conductores. Nuestros productos soportan cargas mecánicas desde 66kN hasta 120kN bajo condiciones de operación normales.

Las suspensiones de porcelana están específicamente diseñadas bajo la norma ANSI C29.2 pensando en el cumplimiento tanto de su función eléctrica como mecánica. Estas características garantizan el cumplimiento respecto a todas las exigencias dimensionales y requisitos funcionales.Además contamos con aisladores tipo FOG para ambientes de alta contaminación que pueden suministrarse en color café o gris de acuerdo a las preferencias y normativas de cada país.

Los herrajes permiten una fijación de los aisladores en suspensión y retención y proporcionan un empalme perfecto entre aislador y aislador en la formación de cadenas. Están fabricados en hierro galvanizado en caliente con diferentes tipos de acoples. Adicionalmente se pueden suminstrar con o sin manguito de zinc y recubrimiento organometálico, de acuerdo a las condiciones de montaje y necesidades del cliente.

El cemento Portland es usado para asegurar el herraje al cuerpo de la porcelana usando un sistema comprobado que transfiere el peso uniformemente del herraje hacia el cuerpo de porcelana. Una capa bituminosa es aplicada a la porcelana y al interior de los herrajes para compensar la expansión térmica en aplicaciones de clima extremo.

Suspension type insulators mechanically hold the conductor thus isolating it from contact with land and other conductors. GAMMA suspensions support mechanical and electrical charges ranging from 66kN to 120kN.

Porcelain suspensions are specifically designed to comply with ANSI C29.2 standards, ensuring the performance of both the electrical and mechanical functions, as well as to satisfy all dimensional specifications and applicable requirements.

The porcelain suspensions portfolio includes FOG type insulators for high-contaminated environments. These are offered in brown or gray glaze according to customer preferences and standards for each country.

Post and cable mount hardware allow insulators to be fixed in suspension and retention designs for a perfect connection even when using strings. These are manufactured in hot dip galvanized steel with different configurations, including zinc sleeve – characteristics that satisfy all mounting requirements.

Portland cement is used to secure the hardware to the porcelain body using a proven system that transfers the load uniformly from the hardware into the porcelain body. A bituminous coating is applied on the porcelain and the interior of the fittings to compensate for thermal expansion in extreme weather applications.

Carretes - Spool Insulators


Son aisladores de soporte y están diseñados para darle al cable conductor energizado un punto de apoyo que lo mantenga alejado de las estructuras, en las líneas de baja tensión. Se encuentran instalados en herrajes llamados perchas, en unidades individuales o en grupos, cuentan con una resistencia transversal desde 8.9kN hasta 26.7kN según el tamaño del aislador.Se pueden suministrar en conjunto con el herraje tipo percha.

These support type insulators are designed to provide the energized conductor cable a support point to keep it separated from the low-tension lines structures. These are installed in iron fittings known as hangers, in individual units or in groups. They have a transversal resistance ranging from 8.9kN to 26.7kN depending on the insulator size.These can be supplied along with the D’ iron clamp.

Tensores - Guy strainLos tensores de porcelana son usados para líneas de baja y alta tensión. Son diseñados para trabajar bajo una carga mecánica, resistiendo la tensión de un cable eléctrico suspendido. Los tensores son usados en redes aéreas para soportar las antenas de radio y redes eléctricas. El tensor de porcelana puede ser insertado entre dos cables para aislarlos eléctricamente de cada uno manteniendo una conexión mecánica o también para aislar los vientos o retenidas de las estructuras o partes de redes aéreas.

Los tensores de porcelana GAMMA son diseñados, fabricados y aprobados de acuerdo al estándar ANSI C29.4 y son fabricados en humedo. Estos aisladores trabajan bajo esfuerzos de compresión en vez de tension, un punto importante cuando se instalan.

La superficie del aislador esta cubierto de una capa de esmalte impermeable, que permite que la porcelana se mantenga libre de polvo y polución producido por la contaminación ambiental. El esmalte gris, blanco o café está disponible de acuerdo a los requerimientos del cliente.

Porcelains guy strain insulators are used in low and medium voltage lines. They are designed to work in mechanical tension (strain), to withstand the pull of a suspended electrical wire or cable. Guy strains are used in overhead electrical wiring to support radio antennas and overhead power lines. A guy strain insulator may be inserted between two lengths of wire, to isolate them electrically from each other while maintaining a mechanical connection, or where a wire attaches to a pole or tower, to transmit the pull of the wire to the support while insulating it.

GAMMA guy strain type insulators are designed, manufactured and tested according to ANSI standard C29.4 using wet shaping processes. These insulators work under compression efforts instead of tension.

Insulator´s surface is covered with a waterproof glaze coat, which allows the porcelain to stay free from dust and dirt caused by environmental contamination. Gray, white or brown glazing is available according to customer requirements.

Los tensores de fibra de vidrio son fabricados con materias primas de alta calidad para asegurar la conexión perfecta entre el núcleo de fibra de vidrio y el encriptado del herraje.

Los herrajes son diseñados para soportar esfuerzos mecánicos y eléctricos aplicados. Contamos con varias combinaciones disponibles para las líneas de distribución: Clevis, Y-Clevis, Roller y thimble, que resisten cargas mecánicas desde 66kN hasta 160kN.

Fiberglass guy strains are manufactured using high quality raw materials to ensure a perfect connection between the fiberglass Rod and cast ductile iron fittings.

Fittings are designed to satisfy applicable mechanical and electrical requirements. Multiple combinations are available for distribution lines assemblies: Clevis, Y- clevis, roller and thimble eye, which resist mechanical loads ranging from 66kN up to 160kN.

Los aisladores tipo pin son aisladores de soporte de línea, su función es sostener directamente en la cabeza del aislador (surco) o en el cuello, el cable conductor.

Los aisladores tipo pin están diseñados y fabricados de acuerdo a la norma ANSI C29.5 y ANSI C29.6 pensando en el desempeño tanto de su función eléctrica como mecánica. Estas características garantizan el cumplimiento de nuestros pines respecto a todas las exigencias dimensionales y requerimientos técnicos. Nuestra oferta cuenta con pines para baja y media tensión, pines sencillos y pines dobles respectivamente, que presentan características eléctricas y mecánicas desde 7.2 kV hasta 34kV y resistencia al cantiléver desde 11.1kN hasta 13.4kN.

En algunos casos se ofrecen los aisladores con RF, esmalte semiconductor, utilizado para homogenizar el campo eléctrico que genera el paso de la corriente por el conductor atenuando la radio interferencia.

El montaje correspondiente de los aisladores tipo pin se realiza sobre postes, crucetas metálicas o de madera. GAMMA ofrece la posibilidad de adquirir el herraje apto para cada montaje, espigos con rosca de nylon que no afectan el medio ambiente ni la salud de las personas que los manipulan y que se instalan en la rosca integrada de los aisladores, diseño que evita que los espigos se aflojen o que la rosca se desprenda del aislador.

Pin type insulators are designed to provide line support. The function of these insulators is to support the conducting cable directly on the head or neck of the insulator (top and side grooves).

Pin type insulators are designed and manufactured according to ANSI standard C29.6 in order to ensure their electrical and mechanical performance, as well as to satisfy all dimensional specifications and requirements. We offer low and medium voltage pins, and they are used in distribution lines ranging from 7.2kV to 34kV.

These insulators are also offered with a semi-conductive glaze, used to homogenize the field generated by the electrical path through the conductor that may cause radio interference.

Pin type insulators are mounted on metallic cross arms, wood cross arms or directly in the post. GAMMA offers the appropriate iron studs for each assembly, including studs with nylon thread to replace traditional studs made with leads. Among the beneficial properties of the nylon thread mounting studs is that these do not impact the environment or adversely affect the health of individuals manipulating them and these are installed directly in the insulator’s own tread. This design avoids that the studs get loosen up or the tread gets away from the insulator.

Los aisladores Line post son de tipo soporte y son instalados sobre crucetas de madera, hormigón o metal. Están especialmente diseñados para cargas de tensión, desde 25kV hasta 66kV de acuerdo a la norma ANSI C29.7, su forma estructural fuerte y robusta le proporciona características mecánicas y eléctricas inigualables, siendo casi imperforables.

Se utilizan generalmente en áreas con altos niveles ceraunícos ya que gracias a la distancia entre el herraje y el conductor, en caso de posibles descargas evita que se perforen, poseen una resistencia al cantiléver desde 6.6kN hasta 12.5kN.

Todos los herrajes son fabricados en hierro maleable fundido galvanizado y están diseñados específicamente para todas las aplicaciones eléctricas y mecánicas asegurando un óptimo desempeño y longevidad de servicio. El cemento Portland es usado para asegurar el herraje al cuerpo de la porcelana usando un sistema comprobado que transfiere el peso uniformemente del herraje hacia el cuerpo de porcelana. Una capa bituminosa es aplicada a la porcelana y al interior de los herrajes para compensar la expansión térmica en aplicaciones de clima extremo.

Line posts are support type insulators and are installed on wooden, concrete or metal cross arms. These are especially designed for distribution lines with typical application voltages ranging from 25kV to 66kV as per standard ANSI C29.7.

Their strong and robust structural form provides unequalled mechanical and electrical features. Nearly impervious to puncture, these insulators generally are used in areas with lighting hot zones. Designs have a cantilever resistance ranging from 6.6kN to 12.5kN.

All hardware fittings are manufactured using hot dipped galvanized malleable cast iron and are designed specifically for all mechanical and electrical applications to ensure optimum performance and service longevity. Portland cement is used to secure the hardware to the porcelain body using a proven system that transfers the load uniformly from the hardware into the porcelain body. A bituminous coating is applied on the porcelain and the interior of the fittings to compensate for thermal expansion in extreme weather applications.

Los aisladores tipo estación mencionados en este catálogo están disponibles en tensión estándar y alta tensión, niveles basicos de aialamiento desde 95kV BIL hasta 250kV BIL y para aplicaciones de voltaje nomical de operación que van desde 7.5kV hasta 100kV.

Cada cuerpo del aislador esta moldeado con las materias primas de la más alta calidad producidas en nuestras instalaciones de procesamiento mineral, las cuales cuentan con tecnología de punta.

Toda la superficie de cada poste recibe un esmaltado suave y uniforme, en gris o café, permitiéndole a la porcelana ofrecer la máxima resistencia mecánica, para soportar la acumulación de contaminantes en la superficie y facilitar su limpieza, bien sea por la lluvia o por mantenimiento general.

Station posts in this catalog are available in standard strength, high strength, and extra high strength, in ratings from 95kV BIL Through 1800kV BIL, and for applications ranging from 7.5kV through 500kV operating voltages.

Each insulator body is molded from the highest quality raw materials produced in our state-of-the-art mineral processing facilities, yielding a product of exceptional wet process workability, purity, and uniformity.

The entire surface of each station post receives a smooth, uniform glaze, in either gray or brown, to provide maximum mechanical porcelain strength, to resist the accumulation of contaminants on the surface, and to facilitate its cleaning via rain or routine maintenance.
